The Glass of Wine

I met him at the 320th annual Potions Masters' Association party. He wasn’t handsome, but had an incredible aura that spoke of dignity and that inspired respect. I only knew of him by his articles I read in various potions journals. I had just graduated from university. This was my official début as a Potions Master. I was nervous. Didn’t know why, but I wanted to leave an impression on him. He was surrounded by fellow Potions Masters. I tried to open a pathway that would lead me to him. I had two glasses of wine with me. One for me, one to offer him as a way to introduce myself. I saw Malfoy, a nasty fellow who used to torment me in my days at Hogwarts. As he gave that trademark smirk of his I remembered that he usually did it just before playing one of his pranks.

It happened so suddenly. One moment I was looking into his face, the next I was trying not to fall onto my face. A hand grabbed me just as I was about to fall. Unfortunately, the wine spilled and soiled my rescuer's robes. I was about to apologize, when I realized just who my rescuer was.

“Sorry. I…” I sputtered, mortified at my carelessness. ‘Not the way you wanted to make an impression,’ I thought resentfully.

“It’s quite all right,” he said. "Nothing that a cleaning spell won’t repair. Mr.?”

“Potter, Harry Potter, sir.”

“Potter; that sounds familiar, are you by any chance,…”

“Yes, James and Lily Potter’s son. I mean, sorry that was quite rude of me.”

“That is remarkably like the James I remember, even Lily was quite prone to it. A match made in heaven.”

“I’m afraid I caught the bad influence, sir.”

“Yet, here you are, a Potions Master.”

“After their deaths, I wanted to try a change in career. I was always quite good at Potions.”

“There isn’t a more rewarding profession, Mr. Potter.”

“Let’s drink to that, but please call me Harry.”

“Severus,” he said, and inclined his hand in a graceful manner. Like a king granting a wish to his subject. “Indeed, let’s have a toast.”

He took two glasses of wine from the floating tray and offered me one. I accepted and we gave a toast:

“To potions,” we said, and as our glasses clinked I looked into his magnetic eyes. He didn’t just drink the wine. He savoured it. Every single drop of it. I was mesmerized.

He caught me staring at his mouth and said in a velvet voice,

“Maybe we have more in common than just potions, Harry.”

I involuntarily licked my lips. My palms were sweating. I could feel my temperature rising. It was getting hotter in here and it had nothing to do with the bad air conditioning. His gaze followed my tongue. Hungrily.

“I…” I coughed. The wine spilled. It ran slowly down my cheek, leaving a wet trail behind. I could feel his eyes on me, not missing anything. They had hawk-like properties. I felt trapped in them, like a helpless prey. Only I welcomed it. I wasn’t afraid. My adrenaline was flowing but it had nothing to do with fear. My prick was starting to harden as his hungry gaze kept following every little movement I made. I have never been so self-conscious, the object of such intense scrutiny.

“Would you like to have another?” he referred to my empty glass of wine. “In a more comfortable setting, Harry?” If he kept calling me Harry in that voice of his, I'd gladly go to the depths of hell with him.

“Of course,” I said, trying to sound unaffected. I wasn’t succeeding.

“Let me show you the way.” I bet he would show me more than just the way before the night was over.

I followed. Trying not to skip in delight as a first year would when hearing an ice cream truck approaching. It took some effort.

“These are the private rooms of the manor. Were you planning to stay the night?”

“Yes, I wanted to enjoy the whole first night experience.”

“Indeed. One should take the time to savour such pleasures.” He put his hand on the lower part of my back as he showed me through the door. I shivered in delight. I hoped this would be a night to remember.

The room was similar to mine. Spacious. In the fireplace there was a slow fire burning. It had its own bathroom, with a large bathtub. The best part of it was the bed. I wondered at its largeness the first time I saw it. There was room for five people on it, not merely one. I wondered what kind of parties the Potions Masters were accustomed to.

“Brandy?” he offered. I forgot the rooms had their own little bar.

“Thank you.” The waiting made me nervous. Don’t know why I expected him to just grab me in a fit of passion, or more commonly lust, and then we would go at it like bunnies. My usual encounters started in a similar fashion. That was why I felt unsure all of a sudden. This was completely different from what I was accustomed to. This was more like a slow seduction.

There were two armchairs beside the fireplace. He gestured me to one as he sat in the other. I took sips from the brandy and looked at the fire blazing.

Was there a script I should follow? Should I have known it beforehand? I felt like a fish out of water.

“Harry?” I heard my name being called and I looked at him. Perplexed, unsure of what was the right move, what was expected of me?

“Have you ever done anything like this?”

“Um? I said unintelligently. “You mean sex or...?”

“Or being propositioned by an older man.”

“You’re not that old!” I tried to lighten the mood.

“I’m the same age as your parents were.”

“I know,” I replied in a whisper.

“Does that bother you?” he asked.

“No!” I shouted, standing up. “I, you. Bugger, this has nothing to do with my parents! This,…”

“Yes, Harry what is it about?” he prompted.

“I thought it was bloody clear from the start! This was about two blokes fancying each other. Wanting, you know,…” I coughed. I'd never needed to explain myself before. “To have sex,” I finished lamely.

“Is that so, Harry? I heard that you lived with Muggles before your parents came out of hiding, but I thought you knew what this was about.”

“Sir?” I asked uncertainly, like a first year, not knowing if I got the answer right or wrong.

He sighed. Then he explained: “The first time a Potions Master finishes his or her degree, he or she is approached by an older, wiser Master who offers his services in the form of an apprenticeship. It has mutual benefits.”

“Sir?” I wasn’t sure what was he getting at.

“Sometimes the exchange is of a more sexual nature.”

“Oh!” Now I felt all kinds of fool. Of course I should have realized it before I let my dick control my actions.

“Yes, 'OH,' Mr. Potter.” I didn’t want him to go back to calling me Potter.

“So this is a business arrangement?” I asked.

“If you want, Mr. Potter it can be just a fuck ,” he sounded exasperated. I was taken aback by his crude tone. He had been perfectly polite until now.

“Shouldn’t we,… you know. Have an experimental romp, before we pledge ourselves for all eternity.” I was trying to lighten the mood again, but I only managed to make myself a fool in his eyes.

“Of course; that’s the standard contract, Mr. Potter.” ‘You utter wanker’ I heard it, even if he didn’t say it. I was really starting to piss him off, I could see.

Before the damage could be too great and he did something irrational like insulting my dead parents, I said, “Very well, let’s try it.” As I said it I disrobed slowly before him.

I could see the shock on his face before he masked it. This bloke was a player, I could see it. He liked to play games before we got anywhere near to the action. I didn’t know what he was after, but I wasn’t about to let an opportunity that could lead to a night of senseless shagging go to waste.

There wasn’t any music, but I let the garments go slowly off my body. Playing into the light and shadow that was coming from the fireplace. My sun-tanned olive skin was smooth and tight. With his eyes never leaving my body I was finally nude.

He wanted me. It was clear in the way he tightly held his armchair, in the way his body was unnaturally still. In the way he desperately tried not to show it.

I moved sensually, like a panther sensing its prey. I climbed on his lap. My hands were on his shoulders, trying to steady myself. He was hard. And from the feel of it he was quite huge. He lifted me up and took me to the bed. As soon as I touched the hard surface of the bed with my feet, I tried to tear the robes from him. He did a quick spell that left me with plenty of skin to explore.

He lay on top of me and kissed the inside of my shoulder, where neck and shoulder meet. He stroked every part of my body. My legs, my ass, my stomach, my chest: nothing went unexplored. He sensed I was getting close so he whispered a spell I didn’t catch. What I did catch was a cock ring on my aching prick. Effectively preventing me from coming, not like Muggle cock rings. “Severus!” I breathed in his ear, and I swear I could feel him shiver.

“It was about time, Snape!” I groaned in pleasure.

His answer was a hard thrust that made me see stars.

“Harder, Severus, you can let go; I’m no shy virgin!” I said. And he did. His thrusts turned frentic, ferocious in their intensity. Much later the next day

“So how was it?”

“Mr. Malfoy, I’m not going to kiss and tell.”

“What! After all the trouble I went through to arrange this? I’m hurt, Severus. I’m deeply hurt.”

“You just tripped him, Mr. Malfoy . Don’t get too full of yourself.”

“So will you be having a new apprentice, godfather?”

“Perhaps.”
