I could only really get into Jaime's work on Locas, in Love and Rockets, the work by his brothers didn't interest me that much. I absolutely love his women, though. Not just their look, all very individual, but their personalities, too! They're so bang-on. Normally, aside from a select few individuals, I think male writers have real problems with writing female characters and so often resort to the cliches and archetypes. But I see none of that in Maggie, Hopey, or any of the others. They all seemed tangible and real.
It's just a pain in the rear I bought these three oddly-sized volumes of Locas instead of the lovely hardcovers available.
