Nah, that was Stalingrad, a Grad student who specialized in Stalin studies (and also looked like him).

And don't forget the off-camera "Apocalypse Cow" from the live-action series. (Sigh.) I still love that show.

Old Hans must have been a pretty tough powerhouse of an old guy if he buried that entire cow single-handedly.

Multi-talented too - he also carved the gravestone!

You'd need someone with cojones of steel to try milking her.

So, we can call Robocop, Cyborg, and Death's Head to do the job, then?

You know, it would've been awesome if this cow had been referenced in the recent Excalibur Vs Dracula storyline.

It's nice to see Howard the Duck. Here's hoping he has a revival.

And it's funny, but a vampire cow is sort of mundane for me. I think since I grew up on theBunnicula books with a vampire rabbit, having a vampire cow isn't really that far-out weird there.

Funny though. =)

You should read the rest of the story. It's oddly touching, and I don't think Gerber was so much being "weird" as he was just doing that undefinable thing he did best. Before Howard kills her, she's crying.

It's funny, but when Howard got his own series, it was a few issues before Gerber hit this groove again.

I just love that being vampirized comes with its own Dracula cape.

Dracula felt badly about how cold she was after their night of sweet, sweet exsanguinary love.

Heh. I remember someone having an icon of that cow and I always wondered where it was from. I especially love the, "HAHAHAMOOO" as she flies away.

This is pretty interesting, actually. The concept by itself is pretty silly, but it's being played out completely straightforward. It's something like Monty Python without the jokier bits.
