I really, really loved Batgirl #27. Just picked up a copy and read it a couple of weeks ago. (I'm trying to read some Batgirl, but I don't like to read things when Bruce is written too dickishly.) Loved the Cass and Steph interactions, loved Cass and Oracle interactions, loved the Cass and Batman interactions.
For once at least, he came off as himself, terse and difficult, but not specifically being a dick. I hate when he's written that way, and I feel like sometimes he's specifically written that way when he's dealing with certain members of his team. Usually women, but occasionally Tim and Dick. Mostly the females, though. And I don't blame him, I blame the writers. From everything from not training Steph enough or playing sides with the people on his team or whatever, the writers have chosen to make him like that. I hate that. He's trained many many teenagers and teams and teams of teenagers. If he did as badly with them as he's portrayed as doing with ... nevermind. I stop. /tangent
Anyway, Batgirl #27 is one of the best written stories I've read lately. Excellent characterization, excellent story structure, gorgeous art. And very fun to read, imo.
