I can tell that, for the remainder of this miniseries, it will annoy the hell out of me that -- because of one bad story -- people will be screaming about how the author is a talentless hack who's lost all ability.
Remember how Alan Moore wrote those awful Violator things?
Yeah.
The point is sometimes a bad story is just a bad story.
And I don't even *know* who this Jame Robinson is, and I don't have anything he's written in my collection. But for the love of mercy, comic book fans are a melodramatic bunch. There a number of reasons why things might've gone horribly wrong here -- editorial directives seem to be running DC at the moment. Maybe he's got other projects, maybe he's being heavily editted. Maybe his cat died or something and he's just off his game?
Whatever. The point is, shit happens. Again, even Alan Moore and Gail Simone had off days.
Now yes, I do think this series (from what we've seen so far) is awful (which is depressing, 'cause I'm just a huge JLA fan that I'd really wanted to pick this up). But I wish people would lighten up a little.
