Aaaaaaand, here is another round of Wondy Newbie Asks Lots Of Questions!
Please don't hit me.
1)Ok, so the Amazons have been granted immortality by the Gods who created them, and the Bana have been granted immortality by Circe. Then have Donna and Cassie been granted immortality by the gods too? Has that ever been used for a "Mayfly December Romance" suboplot? It's kind of weird that such a common and obvious source of angst would be overlooked when so many authors seem to go out of their way (and out of common sense, unfortunately) to make their character as miserable as humanly possible.
2)If I get it straight, first the five Gods created the Amazons, then the Amazons got tricked by Heracles and enslaved, then they broke free and slaughtered Heracles' men, they they got banished to Paradise Island. But if the Amazons were enslaved, how did they break free? Were they helped by the gods, or did one of Heracles' men just happen to forget a door unlocked or something?
3)Has Diana had her god-given superpowers since birth, or were they given after she got to Man's World? I wonder because she can't fly in the movie.
As for Ares' comment here, it turns out he was the father of Polly's original body, making Diana a demigod by spiritual inheritance as well as practical physical makeup
So that makes Ares Diana's grandpa? Well, crap, I was just starting to like the Diana/Ares pairing :/
So Diana... saves all of them. (Well, not her friends, they've got it under control, but the other stuff Athena showed her. Way to go, goddess of Wisdom.) Diana would make a very bad starship captain, but at least she'd get along with Spider-Man.
I don't understand why Diana was wrong in saving people's lives. The gods complain that they lost most of their power because nobody worship them anymore, but I'm pretty sure they'd quickly find plenty of worshipers if they actually used their godly powers to make themselves manifest and save people.
Of course, if people grew to rely on divine help too much, it would be extremely bad. But what's wrong with helping out at least a little? Why must it be "all or nothing"?
