I'm just trying to ease the fears of the people expecting Dick to be eventually cowed by Damian's greatness. I never saw that happening and always thought it was a terribly unfair assumption to make.
Hmm. I never thought that. I hadn't picked up on people worrying about that at all. I think the only two questions are: Will Damian learn how to be a true hero, with Dick's help? (The answer is yes, he will.)
And will we be led to believe (in this particular book) that Damian is superior due to being genetically Bruce's son, and thus a 'truer son' versus Dick not carrying Bruce's DNA. (And if that's the case, personally I don't care for that message. That's not what the Batfamily is about.)
