I'm sorry, this is wrong. Almost everything he has written recently has been bland to bad. Streets of Gotham is uninteresting. Gotham City Sirens has been pretty dull so far. Madame Mirage was only good for the first three issues. His run on detective is not memorable - most people put it like this: you read them, you put them aside and you move on - with the exception of the Slay Ride issue, none of them are really worth revisiting. Also, let's not forget that Dini was the master plotter of Countdown to Final Crisis and the writer of the atrociously bad all-Mr-Mzyptlk-torture-porn Countdown #23. http://comics.ign.com/articles/837/837420p1.html
My question is: When was the last time Dini wrote all those characters you mentioned in an interesting way, and what was it about them that made you interested? Was it a comic he's done in the last five years? Because I'm willing to bet you're letting Dini ride on his (admittedly good) cartoon work that he did more than a decade ago.
