Is this our first "and a scan, just to be legal" post? I think it could be. Here!



Now that that's out of the way, who'd in the mood for Watchmen genderbendery? The fine folks at plus4chan have been doing their God-given duty in applying Rule 63 to Watchmen, resulting in (so far) Danielle Dreiberg, Wanda Kovacs, Adrienne Veidt, Sammy Jupiter, his son Laurence Jupiter, and, yes, Edie Blake. Given some people have complained so badly about Moore's treatment of the female characters in Watchmen already, I dread to think the amount of whining we'd have if the likes of Rorschach and the Comedian were female.

Still, some of these are so great. I love the female 1930's style 'Comedienne'. It's amazing, given my objection to Warner's merchandise-whoring of the film, that I don't have issues with this stuff.

The Adrienne Veidt sketch is eleventeen kinds of hot. Whuzzat you say...she killed Blake...unnh...framed Manhattan and Rorschach...duhh...killed half New York and drove thousands mad with a giant squid all for a fragile US/Soviet detente...thass nice...drool...

Very clever design on the Comedienne; a bit of a harlequin look, very nice - she should have a cigar, though. Or a cigarette. Considering that her male counterpart spends practically the entire comic with a stogie stuck in his gob, she should be smoking SOMETHING. She ain't any version of the Comedian unless she's smoking.
Oh, and I know everyone is saying how hot these sketches are, and I agree, but - they're sketches. It takes a bit more than that to get me hot and bothered.
