Golden Age Wonder Woman
Today's story is from Sensation Comics #8, 1942, about a department store chain called Bullfinch that overworks its employees terribly. Yeah, WW shilling for labor unions. Sad.

Diana has this gorgeous blonde under total mind control and the best she can think of is to send her to work in a department store?

Tired of being tied up? Well, okay, sometimes I get tired of steak, so I guess it's theoretically possible to get tired of anything.

Their tying-up technique has the respect of an expert!

Prince del Slimo. If only Marston weren't so subtle!

Okay then.

Well so is kidnapping and brainwashing, not that Wonder Woman cares.

The police kidnap people all the time. It's called arresting them. Imprisoning a person against their will is also illegal, but that gets done to criminals all the time as well.

Besides, I'm not sure a temporary hypnotic suggestion counts as brainwashing.
