Watchmen - The Paint Version
Since I heard a few requests for this to be posted again, now seems like a good time to dig out the Paint version of Watchmen. No, I still have no clue where this originated. If someone wants to take credit, I'll happily give it.

What's the "surprise, it was a lynch mob" joke mean?

It means he got beaten to death in a thoroughly upsetting and tonally appropriate manner.

"Surprise, it was a lynch mob" means that he opened the door to trick or treaters, but it was actually a local gang outside, and they killed him.

Yeah, but the way "WAS" is capitalized makes it sound like it was ironic, or something.

Look back a few panels. As he's opening the door, while talking to Sally on the phone, he jokes, 'Hope it's not a lynch mob, ha ha.'

Never gets old, I swear to God. Especially Rorschach and his inappropriate crushing on Dan.

Also, "hoveeer" is totally the noise that any significantly paused hand makes.

That second to last picture looks out of order (the title's "mspaintmen4", and it would actually fit better as the fourth).
That being said, awesome.

Brilliant! Quite a simple story, really, even if you include the giant expostion-fairy bit near the end.

It scores over many other adaptations due to it not featuring awful sex to the tune of "Hallelujah".

It was soul-eatingly long, and in IMAX I had plenty of opportunity to study the moles on his buttocks, the rest of the cinema and a giant moth that had flown onto the screen.

I might see it again though.

My theory is Zach Snyder was doing that to fanservice the people who've always wanted to masturbate to Silk Spectre, giving them a nice long clip so they don't have rewind with one hand while spanking with the other.

Man, am I the only person who actually LIKED that scene? I liked it for the same reason I liked the scene in the comic - it's a brief respite from all the constant violence and brutality, a little tender moment between two people who have messed-up lives and could use something nice happening to them every once in a while. The song was a little weird, I admit, but I didn't have any problem with the sex.

Thanks for sharing this amazing work! I really appreciate the author's style, btw I haven't found any information about him. Watchman excites people's minds so much that the most enthusiastic of them painted some scenes on walls around New York City! here are just some examples:
