Watchmen - The Paint Version Since I heard a few requests for this to be posted again, now seems like a good time to dig out the Paint version of Watchmen. No, I still have no clue where this originated. If someone wants to take credit, I'll happily give it.

Wow. I enjoyed that. Thanks for the read.

What's the "surprise, it was a lynch mob" joke mean?
It means he got beaten to death in a thoroughly upsetting and tonally appropriate manner.
Sweet mother of jesus lord yes. Win.
"Do you like your wine? It's poison flavored." Never change, fanon!Veidt. You are too awesome for words.

"Surprise, it was a lynch mob" means that he opened the door to trick or treaters, but it was actually a local gang outside, and they killed him.

Yeah, but the way "WAS" is capitalized makes it sound like it was ironic, or something.
Look back a few panels. As he's opening the door, while talking to Sally on the phone, he jokes, 'Hope it's not a lynch mob, ha ha.'

Ah, I missed that bit.
Never gets old, I swear to God. Especially Rorschach and his inappropriate crushing on Dan.
Also, "hoveeer" is totally the noise that any significantly paused hand makes.
LOOK AT THEM! Brilliant :)

Especially the tiny blank "well thats depressing" panel.
No matter how many times I come across/read this it will never get old. Lol.
I am totally going to use "Keep it down you kids! I'm trying to science in here!"
Dude, me too. Now to come up with an excuse...
I'm good. I live with a couple, so I can yell that at them on occasion. :D
I live with my parents. Unfortunately they're all too inured to my brand of crazy.
"I'm trying to SCIENCE up here."
"That's nice dear."
"..."
Is that what the kids are calling it these days? >_>
"Mom, oh my god! I'm... it's for school! It's SCIENCE."
Dammit, I wish that I had thought of that when I was sixteen...

Not to be confused with "I will do science to it" from the webcomic Dresden Codak.
IN THE GRIMDARK CARIBBEAN THERE IS ONLY PIRATES!
*snerks*
Also- I totally need to get a Watchmen icon one of these days.
That second to last picture looks out of order (the title's "mspaintmen4", and it would actually fit better as the fourth). That being said, awesome.
Thanks, you're right, I goofed.
I'd bet this came from someone on 4-chan's /co/. "Grimdark" and "fuck year" are 4-chan catchphrases.
The bashful Roscharch with hearts floating around him fills my heart with inappropriate glee.
Motto, motto....my glee is only paralleled by Saturday Morning Roscharch being Friends To All The Animals and Saying No To Drugs.
LOOK AT THESE INCIDENTAL CHARACTERS LOOK AT THEM
so right on the effin' money!
"We're, uh, here to rescue you" made me laugh SO HARD.
Rorshach does not escape from maximum security prison. Maximum security prison escapes from RORSHACH.

That's brilliant, it is.
Brilliant! Quite a simple story, really, even if you include the giant expostion-fairy bit near the end.
It scores over many other adaptations due to it not featuring awful sex to the tune of "Hallelujah".
Motto. Also, was it just me or was that scene inappropriately long?
It was soul-eatingly long, and in IMAX I had plenty of opportunity to study the moles on his buttocks, the rest of the cinema and a giant moth that had flown onto the screen.
I might see it again though.

My theory is Zach Snyder was doing that to fanservice the people who've always wanted to masturbate to Silk Spectre, giving them a nice long clip so they don't have rewind with one hand while spanking with the other.

And for this he will have his reward. His... eternal reward.
Long enough for a giant moth to crawl across an IMAX screen, I can tell you. I'd rather have seen moth sex.
And the best part is that it's a freaking break-up song.
Man, am I the only person who actually LIKED that scene? I liked it for the same reason I liked the scene in the comic - it's a brief respite from all the constant violence and brutality, a little tender moment between two people who have messed-up lives and could use something nice happening to them every once in a while. The song was a little weird, I admit, but I didn't have any problem with the sex.

...Uh, sorry - didn't mean to post twice. The internet went all sulky on me for a minute. |
