Well, obviously a respectable unmarried woman like Iris can't go around inviting her gentlemen callers up to her room- it's much more proper to just discreetly pick Barry up for a drive through the park and get to know him a little better in the backseat of her parked roadster, and it's not like anyone's going to be sleeping in that situation.
