That first thought balloon's syntax immediately made me think Super Dictionary.

Hahaha, I thought exactly the same thing. "Why is she trying to HIDE her face? Why is she trying to CONCEAL her features from everyone?"

I do love in these old comics what a complete jackass Superman is all the time. Like him mentioning that no woman could possibly go out without her makeup kit unless she was too ugly for makeup to be of use. And also doing things like reading Lois' diary, hurling drill-saws at her, ordering her the milk, etc. It's really a wonder that she wanted to marry him after some of the crap he pulled.

It's a wonder that after the superdickery that Superman and Batman pulled that she's still sane. I'm reading through the 1950s "World's Finest" issues featuring the Superman-Batman team, and for the first few issues or so, the number of times they switch identities to fool Lois is astounding.

Every time I see Lois getting more and more confuzzled, I can't help but think, "And so her slow slide into insanity continues..."

I find it funny that Clark's first reaction to seeing Lois's car crash is going to the DP. Why not try the hospital first? Clark.

"Lois -- After all that's happened, you still haven't larned your lesson! You must not try to find out stuff! What do you think you are, a journalist?"

Way to be a dick, Suspes.

Super sensitive hands? That's a new one.

"Stand still Lois, I must hurl these deadly saw blades towards your face to remove the lead lined aluminum box that I could just pry off your face with my super sensitive hands!"

Also, does Silver Age Superman always land like he's sliding in to home base?

That's a Wayne Boring signature move.

"Lois -- after all that's happened, you still haven't learnt your lesson!"

Says the guy who tried to look through her box with x-ray vision, ransacked her house, read her diary and then threw sawblades at her head.

That's our Supes.

I'm sorry, but as our posting guidelines state, we are only permitted to post one third of a single story or chapter from a comic. This appears to be a full story that is 8 pages long, which means one third of that would be less than three pages.

Even with 2 other stories and the comic being 28 pages long? :) But I change it, if I still going against the rules.

Yes, I'm afraid so. We've got a bit of a longer explanation here about the 1/3 rule and the reasoning behind it. Thank you. =)

Wow. Back then people really worked for their stories. Superman's reading diaries, welding car parts, throwing saw blades and offering to do plastic surgery. Lois is having metal boxes welded to her head and going to vaudeville shows. Circe's drugging lemonade and hypnotizing people to look like cats.

They really earned their crazy!
