There are plenty of faults to lay at the feet of Morrison's Batman run, but the majority that I see from the online crowd don't seem particularly valid. Claiming Morrison hates superheroes or the genre? I'm hard-pressed to think of a writer with more respect for the genre and its effect on us all? Claiming that this run had him alienate himself from his allies? It had his enemy try that... and fail miserably as we see Robin, Nightwing, Talia, Damian, Alfred, Knight, Squire and more all rally behind him to save Gotham.
Your complaint is that he didn't use Selina much in a run that isn't done? I don't think it's hard to think of plenty of creators who never used her, or didn't use her much in their run - does that make them bad? Nope. You happen to like Selina, but is 'my favorite character wasn't in this enough' really a valid critique of a storyline?
I guess I'm just disconnected from fandom too much at this point, and I know it was the same way back at S_D, too - hating on Morrison is the thing to do now, I suppose. Can't say that he hasn't asked for it at times. Seeing the things people complain about, though, I can't help but wonder if we read completely different stories.
