I've worked behind a bar or two in my time (including one which boasted over 80 different single malt's), and I'm very much aware of the variety of beers (also, British, so I feel I've a lot more variety than I've seen in the US). Heck I worked in the head office of a brewery which owned over 1100 pubs and restaurants for nearly ten years, so I've been around the block on that front! :) (My personal favourite was a speical brew done for a newly opened pub called "The Frog and Firkin", which was called simply, and with what appeared to be frighening accuracy; "Spawn". :)
Still never found an alcoholic drink that I liked.
