Who else needs a resurrection/revamp for Rebirth?

This is from the period of time after Wally West became Flash, and began befriending all of Barry Allen's foes. Wally and his girlfriend of the time went to a party that included T.O. Morrow and Golden Glider, the Top's girlfriend, and sister of Captain Cold.

She was killed by Chill Blaine, who was subsequently killed by Cold, but come on! How many female rogues are there? She had the motive and the connections! And her boyfriend was into possession from beyond the grave. This kind of grudge villainess is priceless for story opportunities! Just, you know, change her schtick to something cooler than killer ice skates. :P

Skates were never really her schtick, any more than air-shoes were Tricksters. Her schtick was gemstones. She used gimmicked jewel-like weapons in all her crimes, which were usually stealing gems IIRC. She was also a gleefully malevolent bitch even pre-Crisis, which wasn't all that common, and made a nice change. (And this was waaaay pre Tonya Harding too)

Besides skates that create their own ice trail are always fun, like Iceman without the whining.

	For a while everyone thought that she was the new Captain Boomerang's mother, but turns out she wasn't. Which I still don't fully understand. Paternity can be a crapshoot, but a woman generally knows if a baby is hers. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Yeah, but... How did they even come up with the idea in the first place? If he were the Top's kid or something, sure, you find out the Top had a son you might well assume his ladylove is the mother, but... his dad is not the Top. Like, was Boomer trying to pull a fast one on Len, or something ("this kid's your nephew, and therefore your obligation")? Why would that even be necessary, when the Rogues already take care of their own? Did someone just not want to have to explain how the hell Boomer Sr had sex with a woman from the future and how her kid got back to the present, so they just picked a random familiar, conveniently dead-and-can't-contradict-this womb? IT MAKES NO SENSE.

The rumor was started by a tabloid, IIRC and they're not known for checking their facts ;)

Boomer never explained it to the other Rogues and apparently, he feared what would happen if they learned that his son was related to Zoom. He might have been overly paranoid, but they did steal the guy's corpse just to blow it up.

As for Cold, he openly stated he didn't care that Boomer 2.0 might be his nephew because he was a rogue.

Then Judd went and screwed things up, sigh...

Most of that is Waid's fault. He made an evil twin for Barry. He made Impulse. He made Impulse's evil not-really-anything-like-him clone Inertia. He didn't make the Tornado Twins I don't think, but he certainly took advantage of the idea.

Being related to Barry means having a thousand relatives, most of whom will time travel to make it with the few people they're not related to.

All we need is a Flash to vibrate over to Marvel and sex up a Summers and the Big Two will implode.

	I don't actually know. I scanned this a LONG time ago, and put it up on the old s_d in a miscellaneous post. This just seemed a perfect time to see it again. Morrow has mucked with time so much though..I remember one JSA/JLA crossover where he decided he was too soft and that he needed a harsher upbringing, so he went back in time to abuse himself. 	Lisa wasn't the craziest of the Rogues -- she's fairly up there though, and quite entertaining. I wouldn't mind having her back, though Captain Cold would be less of a menace if he had Lisa around. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	No, my vote and a quarter will get you thrown out of Starbucks. On the other hand, I've gotten to scratch Tora, Steph, Barry, and Bart off the list in the last couple of years, so maybe I'm tapped into some kind of karma thing...?
