Batgirl vs. Batgirl

So Cass is bored and Babs suggests she hits the Holo room for a workout. But who will her opponent be? 1.3 pages from Batgirl Secret Files and Origins #1.

You are now, Cass.

Cass kicks Babs' ass again and again but I think Babs wins on "looking awesome as you are about to enter battle" points.

Those Batarang skills just never go away. You show her, Babs.

So how long until we see Batgirl!Steph vs. Batgirl!Babs and who would win?

It's canon that a Steph-Cass fight lasts roughly as long as these fights, with Steph unconscious.

I don't think we'll be seeing Cass returning as a Batanything.

except that's not the question asked. Steph vs Babs.

I think Steph fights dirty and ends it quick.

I think that it should possibly be noted that Cass won dozens of the fights against HoloBabs, with HoloBabs just winning once.

Yeah, but Cass kept resetting the computer in less than a second, right after first knocking holoBabs down.

Turned out that knocking Babs on her ass didn't necessarily mean she was down for the count.

Given the holograms have no mass to them, how can you stage an effective hand to hand fight with one?

It's an interesting question, since during Dixon's BoP days the holograms were quite insubstantial and various Bats at various times walked right through them. However, in the BATGIRL title, Cass invariably used them as Danger Room-style interactive environments. Perhaps Cass merely has such insane control over her body that she can stop a kick "on impact" even when it doesn't hit anything and accurately simulate impact to herself in her own movements when an illusion punches her. It honestly wouldn't be the most absurd thing her body-reading let her do by half.

Various characters and scientists have been using hard-light holograms (yeah, I know that doesn't make sense) for ages now.

One could assume that, while said holograms are solid, they've also been designed to have solid mass to them.

It's not the weirdest piece of crazy comic-book super-science we've had to accept, afterall.

Maybe I'm a bit frazzled today coming to grips with the knowledge that everything I've ever though about Barbara Gordon was wrong, but this story finally makes sense to me: Barbara Gordon survives because her enemies, when faced with the most impotent gestures of retaliation, give up. While Cass could easily slice through that rope and continue pummeling Barbara's avatar, the smug look on the avatar's face, proud that it accomplished anything, is all it takes to have Cass stand down.

Yeah, I was very perplexed too. Barbara manages to tie Cassandra's ankle and... that's it? Cass doesn't just cut the rope with one of the several batrangs she is surely carrying on her person? Why?

Cass wanted to train but set the holographic training room to a random opponent and it gave her the original Batgirl (who is Oracle, and in the next room and can watch what's going on with her monitors).

Cass is like "okay, cool!" excited to see her mentor and superheroic namesake as she was in back in the day, but the fight keeps ending really quickly, and Cass can't understand how Babs could have survived if she was so easy to take down. But Cass kept replaying the program before holographic!Babs could follow through with her next move, which was catching the oblivious and unsuspecting Cass around the ankles.

Babs likes to confound expectations.

I'm just--huh. I'm a little weirded out by a holo!Babs. Who else is available in Holo form and just what else can said holo forms do?

Who else is Babs keeping in the holoroom for "workouts".

I liked that issue where Cass fought Joker because Babs fought her and wanted to see who was better, and in the end she decided Babs was better because she realized that Babs did not get by on skills alone, but on her brains. (maybe some one can either post those pics here or point me in the direction :)
