I agree, his characters can be the epitome of handsome/beautiful/cute (depending on gender and age) without necessarily being sexy and he makes it work.

There's a line in the classic "New Mutants Annual #2" where the New Mutants are aged to adulthood by Spiral and Template, and Cypher (one of the few who hasn't been captured) sees them and notes that they are "beautiful, like classical Greek sculptures" and you can see what he means.
