*snerk* Diana just looks so angry in that last panel on that first page. Her "You are also talking to yourself" bit made me laugh too--it's always nice to see monolouging get lampshaded.

M'gann's reaction to horror movies is about the same as mine, but with much less tears and whimpering!

Well it's not setting a precendent at least since she wore one in the Teen Titans Annual a bit back. Though that seemed to be for the express purpose of getting Jaime and Virgil to gawk at her.

I think it's a good Teen Titans piece and a not so good WW piece; WW comes off as somewhat naive (and that's ignoring that she's hanging out with three girls roughly half her age.)

I'm trying to decide if this would work better with Impulse in WW's place (or some other character.)

I liked the Guy story, I think it was my favorite in the issue. I'll try and get some of it up tomorrow.

Yeah. The reason this doesn't work is that "Blair Witch Project" is quite probably the least scariest film ever. Ever. And for Diana to even be bothered by it -- in fact, for her to have any reaction other than mind-numbing boredom -- is just, odd.

And if Diana was *really* bothered by said witch, the JLA would've smacked that bitch into next week within a matter of attoseconds.

Pet peeve of mine: there is no such thing as an objective test of whether a horror movie is scary or not. It depends on what your own quirks are. I think BWP is fantastic and find other movies other people think are really scary to be not scary at all.

This was great until I got passed the first page.

Then I started to wonder if Wonder Woman had surgery to place the bra inside her boobs to save time, and if there was a new story arch in which Plastic Man gains apprentices.

And then the whole thing just dissolved into stupid.

I can only assume this story's been in a drawer for years, and they dusted it off to fill space. All the characters are ciphers; if not for the art - bad as it is - and expository captions, there'd be no way to tell who's meant to be in this story.

I'm putting McMurray on my list of writers to avoid. She seems to mostly get bit work like this, but the other stories have to work that much harder to make the full package worth buying.
