Barda needs a diversion
I managed to get my hands on scans from the Justice League Unlimited series that ran for a short while. While thumbing through it, they apparently did special shorts at the end of some of the issues. One of these shorts was one with Mister Miracle and the Slab.

added: This was found in the back of Issue #3 of Justice League Unlimited and the title of the short is "Escape from the Slab".

This is a cute story, but what cracked me up the most was these two panels.

Your picture is a little large to be without a cut

That being said, it IS nice. Is that Phil Foglio? If not, it's very Foglio-esque.

Yeah, just realized that when I posted, so I have made it smaller.
As for the artist,it is actually not Foglio at all. The penciler was John Delany and the inker was Ron Boyd.

Whoa! It looks like Foglio, but...not. I was about to ask if it was Foglio.

If it was Foglio, I'd be very interested to see what he could do with Barda, her Mega-Rod, and a bondage-obsessed husband...

"Scott! What's the point of me tying you up if you're just going to break free from it in five seconds!?"

"Sorry Honey, it's kind of a reflex."

Heh. Reminds me of the newlywed story.

I think this is from Adventures in The DC Universe, not JLU.

Either way, it's awesome. ILU Barda.

It's just as well Barda's awesomeness doesn't need cheerleaders- I'd look bloody stupid with pom-poms.

I need to know the exact issue this is from ASAP.

Because it's so awesome.

I think it's Adventures in The DC Universe #4.

It is at the end of Issue #3 of Justice League Unlimited (this may have well also been published elsewhere, which is cool).

The piece itself is titled: Escape from the Slab.

Huh, I didn't know that. I guess they were reprinted in JLU, since Adventures in The DCU came out long before JLU, back in the 90's.

From what The Internet is telling me, JLU #3 was some kind of 72 page anomaly that featured at least three stories, two of them Adventures in the DC Universe reprints.

Well that makes sense since the styles don't quite match up, especially the Powergirl story that followed after the Slab story. Thanks for sharing! :)

I know I'm not the only one who caught the EC reference, am I? (To "the Halloween Game," which is also a Bradbury reference)
