Well, that's easy. Paper's amazing, you know. You can make it out of so many things, even if wood's the easiest, and you can make it into a lot of stuff too, while rock tends to just sit there unless you have other tools. Paper's useful for writing, and printing books for reading, and even casting spells, while rock... well, it just sits there. Plus, no one in this place has ever been eaten by paper, which is more than you can say for rock. Really, paper's the greatest stuff ever, and rock's got nothing on it at all.
