Mission Uncomfortable: Secret Santa Edition
Who: Reece, Cat, Sasha, Abe
What: The weird secret santa flannel cake grinch gathering.
Where: Cat and Reece's place
When: Uh, sometime-ish? At 3:00 pm. NOT LATE.
Warnings/Rating: Probably awkward
This was a Mistake. Capital M Mistake. Everything was going to get all twisted around and misinterpreted, and Sasha was going to be the bad guy. Again. But she was bound and determined to fix this. Doing everything she could to stay as far away from their entire thing didn't seem to help matters, so maybe throwing herself into the party full force would do the exact opposite. Doubtful, yet not impossible. And after considering that conversation with Abe about working towards something, Sasha knew she needed to try to repair certain burned bridges. Family was family.
And, to be fair, she'd given Reece like a billion chances to get out of this! She'd warned him. She'd given him about every hint she could think of without flat out saying it was her. ...Okay, so she'd also pretended not to know him, but that was the whole secret part, right? And look! If Reece didn't know it was Sasha, they could have a decent conversation. That had to count for something, yes?
Still. This was going to be weird. That was inevitable.
The whole situation had been vaguely explained to Abe in a brief "We're going over there to eat cake and watch the Grinch in flannel pajamas. Santa stuff." There was no way she was going to show up without backup. And she actually thought Reece and Abe might actually get along. If they didn't talk about money. So, Sasha was at the door in her bumble bee pajamas, and holding that box of four identical cakes as she knocked on the door. (No windows or bypassed security systems today.) She glanced over at Abe to give him a reassuring and confident smile, like everything was going to be okay in spite of the nukes being prepped for launch.
Honestly, she was mostly expecting for Reece to shut the door in her face immediately.
Uh, Merry Christmas, guys?
