Gwen, Perry, Harry (with Jason on surveillance)
Who: Gwen, Perry, Harry (with Jason on surveillance)
What: Checking on Harry
Where: Facility: League → RyCorp
When: Nowish
Warnings/Rating: TBD
Gwen was super quiet during the nighttime walk from the flower shop to the facility. She felt way awkward after what Perry had said on the forums about her inability to fake it, and she just focused on the goal of this particular mission: Get Perry inside, ensure he wasn't caught, and wait for him to return with information about Harry's condition. To that end, she provided Perry with a tiny Bluetooth device to tuck into his ear. The device itself was refurbished and built to work like a proximity walkie-talkie (with fairly good transmission garbling). She had the base unit in her messenger bag, along with the schematics for the ventilation system within the facility itself.
At the gate, she told the guard (who she knew super well) that Perry was her friend, and that he was coming to spend time with her. The man, who was older and had a friendly smile, gave Perry a knowing smile, and he signed the young man in without any trouble. Perry was given a badge with his name on it, and Gwen deliberately took his hand and tugged in a playful manner. Faking it, she'd decided, was something she could totally do, even if Perry's comment lacked a basis in fact. She'd totally asked him to spend time with her in the past, and it wasn't like she behaved in a way that would lead anyone to believe she thought he was gross.
Inside, Gwen led Perry to the League level, where everything was kind of dark and scary. It was cold and felt awful, but this wasn't about the League being way evil (though it was kind of impossible to miss). Jason was watching the security cameras, and it was his job to make it look like Perry was totally nowhere. Gwen really didn't want the League to realize Perry existed, because she totally didn't trust the head scientist at all, and she was constantly worried the woman would realize Flash existed. Now Gwen had to worry about Perry too, but there wasn't a better option. Perry, with his abilities, could evade notice way easier than anyone else could, and that made him the right choice for this particular undertaking.
Her room was on the upper level, and it was way brighter than the dark halls. At the security desk, Jason was looping the footage from the camera in the corner (or he was supposed to be looping the footage from the camera in the corner). Gwen closed the door behind them, and she went over and knelt at the vent cover and began to remove it with practiced fingers. The schema for the tunnels (which was handwritten on paper that was well-curled), she handed to Perry. She'd marked the RyCorp level for him, and she'd notated the guard rotation times and locations on it. "If you stay in the vents, you should be totally okay. The only rooms really fitted for medical equipment are these." She tapped the paper with her fingers, and then she looked up at his face. "If you get into trouble, tell me." She tapped the modified Bluetooth in her ear. "If anything's coming, I'll tell you." She had Jason feeding into her connection as well. "Don't try to save him, okay? Just bring back the information, and we can plan from there." She wasn't sure he was going to be able to leave Harry there, especially if Harry's condition was super awful, but getting Harry out would totally take some planning, and no plans could be made until they knew his condition.
The grate was off now, and she handed him her tiny medical scanner. It was taped together with duct tape, and obviously repaired after being cast aside. She'd taken it from one of the League labs, and it would give her Harry's basic vitals. "Scan him from the vent. It'll handle a distance of about seven feet before the data becomes compromised." The device was totally Star Trek, and she expected him to maybe be skeptical about it, but it totally worked. "Good luck, okay? And be careful."
