Who: Mason and Hugh
What: Mason doesn't like lone customers
When: Saturday night
Where: The Chamberlain's Men
Warning: Probably Mason's mouth, but tbd
The whole reason Mason had closed his club had been settled a while ago, but he hadn't wanted to work until recently. He had needed an entire emotional reset, some of which included putting a significant dent into his home liquor stock. This time it was in a sort of celebration instead of trying to drown out his problems and the world. And so, he re-opened the The Chamberlain's Men along with a ridiculous contest to share his relief and potential happiness without actually giving it away.
Business was bustling. Apparently his club had been missed. It helped that he owned one of the few gay bars in the Capital. Mason was glad to see things back to normal. Not that he let that show, mind you. He still prowled around with a perpetual drink in his hand and a scowl on his face. Can't let the peons know that the master was in a good mood. They'd take advantage of it.
He'd been notified when his reservations had arrived, as he preferred, which included the young man...Hugh...who came alone. Can't have that now. Upon learning he'd arrived Mason instructed he be sent a lap dance on the house. He let that go on for about ten minutes before he placed his empty glass on the tray of a passing waiter on his way to Hugh's table. A new drink would arrive shortly. Meanwhile, he realized he knew the man when he got close enough to see his face. His neighbor, but Mason didn't know him by the name Hugh. Mason shooed the dancer away with a flap of his hand, then tossed a t-shirt onto Hugh's table.
"Thought your name was Jeremiah," he said before helping himself to a seat. "Next you'll tell me your surname is April instead of March."
