She’d known this day would come.

It hadn’t been easy. It had taken a lot of work and a lot of time, a lot of waiting for change, and a lot of pushing for that change. But here they stood.

Each person here had played some part in making that change; their family and friends, everyone from the GLC, work, and Vic Grassi House.

As Debbie proudly watched her son and his soon-to-be lawfully wedded husband walk down the aisle, she squeezed Carl’s hand and allowed herself one selfish thought.

This day had finally come.

Their day would come soon.
