| Kitten drabble update |

I have not been able to use the computer lately because xie_xie_xie (not her real name) has been doing whatever it is she does that makes her irritable, short-tempered, and tired. Sometimes I think she is just looking at shoes but other times she's typing tying tying and I don't know why, because when I check, there are no new drabbles by her.
I find humans extremely perplexing.
Anyway, I have written another drabble about the kitten named Rage, in the series that started with "Justin Saves a Kitten." It is my post-513 series, this is not the series where I fixed everything in Season Two. I just wanted to make that clear because it's very important to me that you not mix up my two kitten drabble series.
They are very different.
The kitten in the Season Two AU series is a girl and Rage is a boy kitten. That may not matter that much to you, but dogs and cats do care about these things so please pay attention.

Also, I think this asylum has been too quiet. The pets have not been posting like I told xie_xie_xie (not her real name) they would, so I think you had better write some stuff. Or make icons. I would love icons for my Rage kitten series. That would be something good to do. |

I tried to get Rebel to post this himself, but he is very busy writing what he told me is "the most important meta ever written in the history of the Queer as Folk fandom," and I hate to distract him when he's communing with his muses.
Even if his meta scares me a lot since he apparently thinks that kittens are the answer to nearly every otherwise unresolvable issue in the entire five years of QAF-dom.
Which brings me to why I'm here.
You know, Rebel is not the first writer for whom kittens are an important metaphor in Brian/Justin fanfiction. I actually have no idea who is, but I know who is the only one I've ever read before Rebel, and it's plumsuede.
Yes, the goddess of pornage, the angel of language, the keeper of theconservatory, the author who first identified the taste of Justin's ass as being reminiscent of candied walnuts, especially when he's wearing the clingy thin gray sweatpants of love... that plumsuede wrote kitten!fic.
Read the entire chapter here..... and then just keep reading the entire post-S4 series, which is called Everything at Once, here, because there's a lot more kitten stuff mixed in with the story, along with a lot of shopping and sex that Rebel doesn't actually care for. Like Gus, he's all about the kitten. |

xie_xie_xie (not her real name) used to watch some episodes of her favorite show Queer as Folk and yell at the TV all the time going, "Brian you stupid fucker, tell Justin you want him to stay!" and then she'd cry and then she'd say, "Justin can't you see he's just using you?" and she hated violin music and wouldn't take me out for a walk but just sat there screaming that Brian should buy the roses, and seriously I got so worried about her I had to lay my head in her lap and gaze up at her soulfully because that's the only thing that seems to make humans feel better.
People are very odd. I'm not sure if they know it.
So when I started writing my still-uncompleted post-513 drabble series that began with "Justin Saves a Kitten" and is about the kitten named Rage, it sounded like it might be a good idea to take a break from that and write a story where Brian and Justin and that violin playing man don't do all those things that make xie_xie_xie (and let me once more point out that is not her real name. I'm a dog and we're always perfectly honest) cry and yell.
I didn't want Brian to buy the roses because roses are stupid, and they die. Even the ones in the ground die, although it takes months, but the ones you put in water in the vase die in just days, and I know that when firehead30 sent xie_xie_xie (not her real name etc) roses she was all goony happy but really, don't you think it would be better if Brian got Justin a kitten? I thought so. And so I wrote that, and I think it would have been better than what was on the show.
xie_xie_xie (usual disclaimer) said that's what's called a "fix it fic" and said those are bad, but I don't care, because as I said before, people are quite odd, and to have fixing something be wrong is typical of their completely non-logical approach to life. Besides, kittens can fix anything. That is their super-power.
So this is my post-216 "what if" fix-it fic and I hope you like it. I wrote it for the 216-220 "marathon of pain" challenge at qaf_drabbles, but I'm posting it all here. I am sure you'll agree the show would have been much better this way. And xie_xie_xie (nhrn) wouldn't have had to cry. I hate it when she cries.
