(who) Any/All. (what) Refuge in the gym from the hurricane. (where) School Gymnasium. (when) Beginning immediately, until the Dean states otherwise. (warning(s)) Doubt it, but TBA.
The usual supplies littering the gymnasium floor have been packed away due to it being the weekend and will not leave their storage this coming Monday. Pressed against the walls, are the large rectangular blue colored gym mats typically used for wrestling, gymnastics and other various physical activities during the courses taught throughout the school day. The bleachers have been pushed back to leave the floor opened for the many cots that will soon cover the floor for, what one can only hope, is a few short days of lockdown.
Lined against one of the large walls is a row of tables holding the emergency supplies for the faculty and students who now are forced to crowd into the large gym for the following few days. The members of the office staff are already present within the gym, doing their best to have everything sorted out and prepared for the people that are to arrive, hoping to make their time in the gym as comfortable as one can be when being confined due to weather.
A few of the volunteers herd the people to the supplies and answers, although it does little to abate the confusion and worry. However, to Dean William Drake, there is not much that will end the confusion or the worry apart from the hurricane’s passing which he indeed hopes that will hit and pass as swiftly as possible.
