Jennifer continued to stand by Tim's desk, her eyes narrowed. Before John even said a word, she turned around and looked at him before pointing at Tim. "He made a bet with Laura about us," she said before she turned around to glare at him again. "I think he should give us his winnings."


"John...it wasn't like that," Tim started to say.

As Tim tried to dig himself out of the hole he had created for himself, Jennifer glanced down at his desk. He had one of his tablets on and she furrowed her brow when she saw her translation from the day before. She had been in such a rush to finish it, she hadn't noticed the references to the Vovis. Looking at John, she held up Tim's tablet. "I think I know why the Gemini Outpost was raided," she said.

"Why?" Allie asked as she stood from her chair.

"The temple was built by a race called the Vovis. They believed everyone in the galaxy should worship their God. They attacked a lot of different races until the Ancients got involved. The Vovis and Ancients made an alliance - the Vovi would share their natural resources and the Ancients gave them techologies to protect themselves," Jennifer explained before she handed the tablet back to Tim. "When the Wraith started to attack Atlantis, the Atlantians started to send important relics through the Gate to Poseidon. The people here were afraid of being attacked by the Wraith so they hid the relics in the temple but to get to the relics, you have to have the ATA gene naturally and be able to solve puzzles. Since the Gemini outpost had a lot of people with the gene, I'm betting they took them because of that."

"You did...what?" John asked, staring at Tim.

He put his hands up as though trying to protect himself. "Laura said she didn't think you'd ever ask Jennifer out, so I was standing up for you. She pushed me to make a bet. I couldn't say no. Have you seen her shoot?"

John crossed his arms. He had seen Laura shoot. She was damn good. But still, he had bet on him and Jennifer. So walking over, he held his hand out.

"Oh come on..." Tim said.

"Winnings. Now."

Before Tim could hand them over, Jennifer got their attention, holding up Tim's tablet. John looked over, stepping over stand next to her and look over her shoulder as she explained about the Vovis. He frowned as he turned it all over in his head. It made sense, but why would they have suddenly attacked now? Then something clicked.

"Tim, you said that the writing on the wall was in the hand of one of the outpost members?" he asked.

The other man nodded. "Yes. Serge Manchenko. I was just checking his personnel file - his superiors made comments about him not liking to use computers for figuring out translations."

"Did the outpost receive any kind of communication before the raid?"

"Let me check," he said, sitting down and tapping into the outpost's records. "Yes. A radio transmission." He played it - it was in an alien language.

John was willing to bet it was the same language as the the words in the writing they had found. He looked over at Jennifer. "Is that what you translated?"

Jennifer furrowed her brow and listened to the recording. Looking at John, she nodded. "It is but..." She stepped closer to Tim. "Play the last two minutes of it," she said before she grabbed a pen and a piece of paper.

Nodding, Tim looped the audio so the last few minutes played. Jennifer leaned over his desk and started to write out a few notes. When she was finished, she straightened and looked at what she had written. "The plague," she said as she looked at John. "Two hundred years ago the Vovis were wiped out by a plague," she explained. "There are references to the plague in the audio. The Vovis sent out a message when there were only a few of them left, telling about the relics in the temple."

"And it took this long for the transmission to get to the Gemini Outpost," Tim said.

"Tell me you have something," came Gibbs' voice as he walked into the pit. All of them told him what they had found and he nodded before looking at John. "Get a team ready to go this afternoon. I want Jane to go with you but you'll have to wait for him to get back later. Also, grab a few of the emergency care doctors in case any of the people are hurt."

"Hey, Tim? Could you make me a quick copy of the audio?" Jennifer said. He nodded and a few moment later, he was handing her a small crystal. Jennifer kept her hand out, and Tim sighed before handing over his winnings. Grinning, Jennifer put the money in her pocket and turned to look at John.

"I'll see you later," she said before slowly brushing by him and leaving to go back to the library.

John leaned over next to Jennifer, listening as she explained what had happened to the Volvis. So they had basically sent out what amounted to a final will and testament, with the heirs being whoever could actually manage to get to the relics.

"My guess, then, is that someone else also intercepted this message and grabbed some people they thought would be able to help them get into the temple," he said, raking a hand through his hair.

Just then Gibbs came down into the pit, and when he told them that he wanted them to head to the temple, John nodded. "I'll call Doctor Kovac and ask him if the new emergency doc can come with us along with Doctor Burkle since she's worked with us before."

"Sounds good. Let me know when you guys are ready to go," Gibbs said before heading back upstairs.

John nodded before turning and watching as Tim handed Jennifer the data crystal. And the money. He snorted softly, giving her a smirk before she brushed by him. He suppressed a slight groan and watched over her.

When he turned around, he saw Tim and Allie staring at him. "What?"

"Nothing," Tim said.

"We're going out this afternoon. Start getting ready," he said before going over to his desk and sitting down to call Doctor Kovac.

Jennifer went to the library and sat down behind her desk. She turned on her computer and looked through her messages before plugging the crystal in to listen to the audio. Most of it contained information they already knew so she made a few notes and went to work on other things.

As the morning slowly dragged along, Jennifer found herself thinking about John and wishing the could spend some alone time together before going out on the mission. A smile spread over her face when she came up with a brilliant plan. Jennifer stood from her desk and walked out of her office, and down to the secret room only she knew about. She stripped her clothes off, and went to the door and just as the door slid open, she transformed into a cat.

She quickly hurried out of the room and stopped for a moment. Looking down at her paw she noticed it was now black. She must have changed her appearance from an orange tabby to this. It wasn't uncommon and she found herself smiling to herself. She could tease John for a while before he realized it was her.

Soon Jennifer was trotting into the pit. She loudly meowed and jumped up on John's desk. Tim stood and grinned. "What a pretty cat," he said as he came over to the desk. When he reached out to pet her, Jennifer batted his hand away. Tim narrowed his eyes and went back to his desk.

Luka Kovac readily agreed to let Fred Burkle and Carson Beckett accompany them to the temple, which was good since both of them also had the ATA gene according to their records. After the other man promised to speak to the two doctors and make sure they were ready to go, John called Operations and asked them to relay a message to Patrick Jane, not wanting him to be surprised when he returned since he was out that morning with Evan's team.

Once he was finished with his calls, he started getting information together for the temple visit. As he worked, he suddenly heard a meow as a black and white cat jumped up on his desk. Startled, he stared at it for a moment.

"Where'd you come from?" he asked, snorting when it didn't appear to want Tim to touch. "I thought cats liked you."

"I thought they did too," Tim said.

John glanced down at the cat again before it started climbing on him and messing with his hair. "Hey...what are you...? Yes, I can see that, Allie." He reached up to try and found the cat had wrapped itself rather securely around the back of his neck.

"I should probably head down to animal licensing and see if this belongs to someone," he said since all companion animals on Poseidon where required to be chipped just for cases like this. "If Gibbs asks, tell him I'll be back soon."

Carefully getting up, he walked out of the pit with the cat still around his neck.

Jennifer laughed to herself as she continued to bat at John's hair. It was so adorable and she couldn't help herself. As he stood, she waved a paw at Allie and Tim before John walked out of the pit with her around his neck. "Good. Just remember to stay back, and don't touch anything unless one of us says it's okay."

Once they were ready, they headed out to meet the others and head up the jumper bay.

John looked over at Patrick, his greeting to him catching in his throat when Patrick asked about him dating Jennifer. Evan. Of course. He was surprised that between him, Laura and Tim, it wasn't over the entire city. Although, since Tim had told Olive, he was sure that is actually was.

As Patrick continued speaking, asking about his intentions, John stopped for a moment and looked at him. "Oh, Patrick, this is Doctor Carson Beckett. He's the new head of emergency medicine. And Carson, this is Patrick Jane. He's our best interrogator," Fred said.

"Nice to meet you, Carson," Patrick said as he shook his hand.

"Control, this is puddle jumper eight. We're ready for flight. Our first check-in should be within four hours," Jennifer said.

"Copy that, puddle jumper eight. Have a safe trip," Chuck said.

Jennifer cut the communication link and smiled at John as they slowly took off.

Once she had contacted Control in Operations, he started the automated process to have jumper taken down to the Gate room. "I didn't realize that interrogators went out into the field," he said.

"That's so Patrick can work his mojo on the scene," Tim said as the jumper came through the Gate on the other side.

"The temple is just ahead," John called back to them. "We should be there in a few minutes."

Soon the jumper had landed all of them got out of it. Jennifer clipped her P-90 onto her vest and fell in beside John. They walked up a rocky path and came to the fence that surrounded the temple. On the front gate was a plague and Jennifer stepped closer to translate it.

"It says welcome and something about all of our desires will be fulfilled," she said. "Whatever that means."

She then put her hand on the panel, which caused it to light up. The gates of the temple slowly swung open and all of them stared at the massive temple for a moment before Patrick transformed into a white fox. He sniffed the ground and motioned for the rest of them to follow him.

John glanced back and then over at Jennifer as he heard the others explaining about Patrick's skills to Carson. Chuckling, he looked back toward the temple coming up fast in front of them. Hearing about what Patrick did was one thing. Seeing him in action was totally another.

When they reached the temple, John brought the jumper down in an open area. He couldn't see any sign of anyone else there, so either they had beaten them there, which he didn't find likely, or they had teleported down. Of course, the other possibility was that they were hiding in ambush.

"Be careful," he warned everyone as they left the jumper and headed up to the temple gate. When they reached it, he let Jennifer read the plaque. Desires? He didn't know whether that was a good thing or something to lure people in to their end. He was about to say something; however, before he could stop Jennifer, she was touching the panel.

"Jennifer," he said with a groan.

Luckily, nothing happened, so he nodded to the others when Patrick indicated that they could follow him in. Together, they all headed inside, John looked around at the great antechamber.

"Bloody hell," Carson said, looking around in amazement.

"No kidding." John looked over at Jennifer then noticed a large statue in the middle of the chamber. "Guess that's the best place to start."

When John said her name, Jennifer gave him a sheepish look. She had to remember he was the team leader on this mission. The last few missions she had been on - all to known libraries around the galaxy - she had been the leader. "Sorry," she muttered before following the rest of them inside. It was probably one of the most beautiful things she had ever seen.

"No wonder they wanted to keep this place well-guarded," Allie said with a low whistle. "I've never seen anything like it."

"And it has some of Poseidon's touches in it," Tim said as he nodded toward some of the windows. They were designed just like the ones in the city.

When John said they should start with the statue, they walked over to it. Jennifer jumped a little when she saw a man lying there with a sword through his chest. She followed the length of the sword and saw it had came out of the statue. Jennifer then saw a square panel with numbered tiles in it. "It's a puzzle," she said as she looked at the rest of them. "I remember translating something about puzzles. Apparently he didn't solve it right."

Fred took a few steps forward and looked down at the numbers. Furrowing her brow, she started to rearrange them. "It's a math puzzle," she explained. "Each row has to equal the number fifteen."

"And I bet it opens that door over there," Allie said as she pointed toward a large wooden door.

"Only one way to find out," Fred muttered as she finished putting the tiles in order. Tim and Allie went to stand by the door and once they were in position, Fred took a deep breath and held her hand over the panel. "Carson? I love you." She really didn't care if any of the rest heard. She was about to put her hand on something that might kill her.

Taking another deep breath, she pressed her hand down and flinched. No swords came out and the wooden doors slowly open.

"John! There are some Geminis in here!" Tim called out.

John wanted to reach out and wrap his arm around Jennifer when he heard her muttered apology. It was just that he didn't want to lose her so soon after they had finally admitted their feelings for each other. He knew that he wouldn't be able to take something happening to her, not when he loved her so much.

Instead, he touched her shoulder briefly before looking around the chamber, nodding at what Allie and Tim pointed out. It was very easy to see the Ancients' influence.

And it was definitely easy to see the paranoia of the Vovis at work when they saw the man who had been run-through. He was humanoid, but obviously not human, which made John wonder if it was one of the people responsible for those from Gemini.

When Fred started to solve the puzzle to get them in, telling Carson that she loved in, John looked over at the doctor. He could hear the other man suck in a deep breath and freeze as his eyes watched every move. He obviously didn't want to distract her, but John was sure that he was screaming inside.

When Fred got the door open, Carson ran over to her and pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly, obviously not caring that anyone else was watching. "God, love," he whispered. "Don't do that to me again. I love you too much to lose you."

Unable to help it, John took Jennifer's hand and walked over with her to the door. The three Geminis looked up at them, obviously relieved to see friendly faces.

"What happened?" John asked. All three of them them explained how they had been attacked by an unknown ship. They had been taken prisoner and brought to the temple to help translate and get them through things that required the ATA gene.

One of their captors had died when he had insisted on doing the first puzzle. The other two had died in that room. Looking over, John saw the two bodies - also impaled.

"What is this?" he asked, looking down across room. It was covered with large tiles that had what appeared to be Gate symbols repeated in rows.

"We're not sure," one of the Geminis said as Carson went over to check her over. "The plaque over there says something about following the path to enlightenment."

John stared at the tiles. "The path of enlightenment."

"Are we supposed to spell out a Gate address?" Tim asked.

"That's it!" John said. "The planet where Ernest Littlefield met the Furlings. It's name means 'Enlightenment'."

"We need the walk out the Gate address," Allie realized.

Nodding, John walked over to the tiles. Looking over at Jennifer for a moment, he then took a deep breath and started moving across the tiles, hitting each symbol for the Gate address all of them had learned as children. When he came to the last symbol, though, he paused and looked back.

"What's the point of origin symbol for this planet?" he asked.

Jennifer gave John a warm smile when he touched her shoulder. She knew he was worried for her, just like she was worried for him. It was obvious this wasn't going to be an easy mission and they needed to watch out for each other. Turning her attention away from John, Jennifer watched as Fred solved the puzzle and opened the door.

"I'm sorry," Fred said as she wrapped her arms around Carson. "I love you and you aren't going to get rid of me that easily."

All of them followed John into the other chamber and Fred pulled out her medical kit so she could help Carson check the Geminis over. As they did that, Jennifer squeezed John's hand as they figured out how to get across. She almost didn't want to let him go but knew she had to. "I love you," she whispered to him before he started to walk across. She held her breath as he did so.

"The point of origin is the upper right tile," Patrick, who had sense transformed back into human, said.

Once John had stepped on the tile, another door opened and the floor turned to all marble. Jennifer placed a foot on it and when she saw it was safe, she ran across and practically knocked John over. "Glad you're all right," she whispered to him.

Once all of them were on the other side, they went into the room. Laying on a stone table were a few scrolls. Allie walked over and picked up one. "Oh my," she said as she unrolled it, her eyes widening a bit.

"What is it?" Tim asked.

"The Ancients were building a super fleet of ships that would take out Wraith hive ships. They apparently were building them on a planet at the edge of Pegasus. This contains the plans and the Gate address of the faculity," she explained. She then took it over to John and handed it to him. "I think we should take this. Atlantis might need it."

As Jennifer, Tim and Allie looked through the other scrolls, Patrick walked to the other side of the room. "Another puzzle," he announced as he squinted his eyes and looked at it. "Some of these are medical terms." He glanced over his shoulder at Carson and Fred. "I think this is your department."

Fred walked over to the wall with Carson and looked at it. The wall was filled with a series of medical questions, each having three possible answers. There was a hole by each answer, along with a set of round rocks on the floor. "I think you have to place the rock by the right answer," she said as she swallowed and looked at Carson. "Want me to do it or do you want to?"

Carson smiled at Fred when she said he wasn't getting rid of her that easily and reached up to brush a strand of her hair back from her face. "Good," he whispered.

Giving her one last hug and kiss, he went in with her to the other room and started helping the Geminis while the other figured out the room's puzzle. When John started working his way across the tiles, he stopped and watched, recognizing the look on Jennifer's face. He was pretty sure that he had the same look on his face when he had watched Fred figuring out the math puzzle.

When Patrick pointed out the final tile to John, he nodded and took a deep breath. "Here goes nothing," he said before hopping over to it. When the floor turned into marble, he then turned around and caught Jennifer in his arms.

"Me too," he whispered to her.

Carson looked around in amazement when they walked into the next room, where they found the scrolls. John took the one Allie handed him and looked at it, his eyes opening wide.

"Damn," he said. "Yeah. I think Atlantis could definitely use this."

When Patrick pointed out the next puzzle, Carson looked it over with Fred before looking at her. "I'll do it," he said. "This is based on some Ancient medical terms. I learned about it from Elrinar."

Giving Fred a kiss, he then picked up the rocks and held them in his hands as he looked over each of the questions. The first ones were fairly easily, but they got progressively harder under Carson reached the last one. After rereading the question several times, he placed the stone in the hole next to the answer and held his breath as his heart thudded loudly.

The door swung open.

"Good job, Doc!" John said.

Nodding faintly, Carson wrapped his arm around Fred as he waited for his heart to get back to normal.

"Hey...I think there's some medical texts and equipment in here," Tim called out.

Fred felt her hands start to lightly shake as she watched Carson. She knew of his background with Ancient medicine and he was the most brilliant man she had ever met, but she still worried. Slowly, she sucked in a breath and watched him. When the door finally opened, Fred jumped forward and hugged Carson to her. "I love you," she whispered.

When Tim called out, all of them walked into the room and looked around. There were several pieces of medical equipment in the room. Fred knew better than to touch any of it without having some of the scientists look it over first. She had heard about some of the things that had happened on Atlantis when machines were turned on without proper inspection. "We should probably let some of our scientists look at these before we touch them," she said as she glanced at John. "Nick's team would probably be the best."

"Look at these," Jennifer said as she held up a couple of old books. "Detail research on the Replicators. Something else Atlantis will probably want." She unzipped her bag and pulled out a couple plastic covers. Once the books were covered, she slipped them into her bag.

"Found the next clue," Allie said from across the room. "There are four panels here with the text, 'Only those whose love and desires have intertwined may gain access'." She looked over her shoulder. "My love and desire hasn't intertwined with anyone lately so I think the four of you need to do this."

Furrowing her brow, Fred took Carson's hand and walked over to the panel. "So I guess all of us touch the panel at the same time?" she asked.

"Looks like," Jennifer said as she reached out and took John's hand.

The four of them touched the panel and the door swung open before they stepped inside.

John wondered if the relics were meant to act as rewards for people who made it through each puzzle...or as distractions. He looked at the books and equipment and saw the expressions of everyone else. These were amazing things, but he could see that there was still at least one more door.

Turning to Fred, he nodded when she suggested they let Nick Stokes' team look over the equipment before they do anything with them. "That sounds like a good idea. In fact, we'll probably need several teams to go over this entire place."

"And we should probably go through decontamination when we get back to the city," Carson suggested. "Heaven only knows what's been trapped in here all these years."

John agreed before walking over to the panel Allie had found, and when she pointed out that he, Jennifer, Carson and Fred would have to do this, he shook his head. Guess it was a good thing they all had come along on the mission. Taking Jennifer's hand, he pressed the panel next to hers while Carson did the same with Fred.

He smiled at Jennifer and leaned over to kiss her temple when the door opened.

Walking into the next chamber, John looked around. In this room was what looked to be art and statues as well as books. He walked over at looked at one that appeared to be two lovers locked in an embrace. At least, that was what it seemed to him.

"I think we've found the Vovis' cultural relics," he said.

Jennifer was glad nothing flew out and impaled any of them. She would hate for Patrick, Tim and Allie to have to explain what happened to Landry. As the door open, she walked in and looked at all the paintings. "I believe you're right," she said to John before she picked up a book. It contained drawings and small paintings.

"Oh...my. Seems they were very open about sex," Fred said with a bright blush. She held up the book she was looking at and showed the drawing of two men and a woman having sex in what looked like a garden.

"Let me see," Tim said as he moved next to Fred.

"It's not 'Penthouse', Tim," Fred muttered as she handed the book to him.

Patrick picked up one of the books and leafed through it. "They seem to be very sexual beings. Much like my people are," he said.

Jennifer looked over at John and furiously blushed before she ducked her head a little. She didn't know if John knew that about the Nagual but she figured he did now. After making a mental note to kick Patrick later, Jennifer looked up to see a door open on the other side.

"There's a sign here but I don't know the language," Allie said.

Furrowing her brow, Jennifer went over to the sign and looked at it. "I...I've never seen this language before," she said with a frown. She was supposed to be the best translator on Poseidon, yet she could translate a simple sign. "Maybe if I had my books or something..."

"I bet it's instructions to get over the bridge," Patrick said as he nodded at the long, thin bridge that connected their door to one on the other side of a deep cavern.

Jennifer looked at the bridge and pressed her lips together. "All of these puzzles were made for humans, or aliens about the same weight as humans. It's weight that triggers them. I'm now more than ten pounds as a cat. I can get to the other side if I shift." She looked at John and cupped his face. "It's the only way and I promise to be safe."

She softly kissed him and closed her eyes. Soon she was in her cat form and staring at the bridge.

"Hey! That's the same cat from earlier!" Tim said as Allie rolled her eyes.

Jennifer nuzzled her head against John's leg before she started across the bridge. She gingerly walked it, hold her breath whenever it made a creaking noise. When she got to the other side, she hopped up on the platform and shifted back. Reaching over, she pressed her hand against the panel, which caused the room to shake a little as a wooden floor came out of the cavern and bridged the two sides.

Fred was right, John thought as he studied the room. The Vovis were quite sexual, it seemed. He noticed Carson staring in obvious enthrallment at the picture in the book she was looking at and snorted, shaking his head. That must have been quite a picture. Of course, the entire room was enough to turn on anyone.

However, when Patrick made his comment about Naguals, John instinctively turned to look at Jennifer, noticing she was blushing a very bright shade of red. That...explained a lot, he realized.

Soon, their attention as drawn to the panel near the door. When he saw the bridge leading across the chasm, John shook his head. There was no way any of them would by able to get across that.

However, when Jennifer mentioned she could probably get across in cat form, he looked at her. He knew she was right, but it was a long way down. Taking a deep breath, he nodded before giving her a kiss.

"Be careful," he whispered before giving Tim a nudge after Jennifer took her cat form.

John watched ever move Jennifer made, holding his breath a few times until she was finally across the platform. When she transformed back, he exhaled and practically sprinted across the floor when it came up. Pulling Jennifer in his arms, he hugged her tightly and kissed her before walking with her into the next room.

"Holy...shit," he muttered when he saw what was in there.

Gold. Gems. Jewelry. This had to be the wealth of the entire Vovi race, all brought here to protect it.

"Wow," Tim said as he looked around in awe.

Carson shook his head in amazement. "I've never seen anything like this."

Jennifer returned John's hug and kiss before they walked into the other room. Her mouth fell open as she looked around. "My father always told me stories about a great treasure in a temple but I thought it was just a fairytale," she said as she stood next to John. She knew they couldn't take anything just yet since the wealth now belonged to the entire galaxy. The Poseidon Council, which consisted of several Milky Way races, would have to decide what to do with it.

Meanwhile, Patrick had walked over to a large door that was locked from the inside. Suddenly, he opened it and grabbed a man that was staying right outside of it. He pulled the man, who looked a lot like the man they had found by the statue, in and shut the door behind them. Several of the others pulled out their guns.

"Where are the rest of the Geminis?" Patrick asked in a calm voice.

"I'm not telling you anything!" the man said as he eyed all the weapons.

Patrick looked at everyone before looking at the man again. He gave him a charming smile and shrugged. "They aren't loaded," he said in a soothing voice. "Do you really think we would bring loaded guns into such a beautiful place and defile it?"

The man seemed to relax a bit and looked at Patrick. "I guess not," he quietly said.

"Good. Now, I want you to do me a huge favor - close your eyes and think of a happy place." When the man just stared at him, Patrick gave him another smile. "Go on. They won't hurt you. Promise." The man slowly nodded and closed his eyes as Patrick started to walk around him. "When you open your eyes again, you'll going to answer all my questions. Understand?"

"Yes," the man murmured.

"Good. Open your eyes." Once the man had his eyes opened, Patrick smiled. "Where are the rest of the Geminis?"

"Most are dead. My boss took a few of the females and killed the rest," the man answered.

"And where did your boss go?"

"I do not know. He left through the Gate a few days ago," the man answered.

"All right," Patrick said before he nodded at Tim. Tim hurried forward and handcuffed the man.

"That's the mojo we were referring to," Fred told Carson as she smiled.

"This is definitely not a fairy tale," John said. He knew that they would need to call some security personnel from Poseidon to the temple because with the doors all open, anyone could walk in and take anything that was in there.

Like the man that Patrick found.

Knowing that the other man could handle him, John stood back and let him work his "mojo". As he got the man relaxed and answering his questions, Carson stared in amazement, nodding at Fred.

"I can see," he said, obvious awe in voice. He had never seen anything like that before. At least not without the help of some drugs and other assisting agents. "Does he always do that?"

"Depends on what he's trying to find out and the person he's interrogating," Allie said while Tim pushed him toward the door to head back through the temple.

"All right, let's all get back to the jumper," John said. "I'll call the city once we're back at the Gate and have them send through some security. When we reach the city, everyone is under decon protocol until we've been cleared by the docs."

"I'll call Doctor Kovac and let him know as soon as we're back in the city," Carson told him as they made their way back through the temple and out to the jumper.

Even though part of Jennifer wanted to stay and looked at all the treasures, she was glad to be going home. It had been a stressful day with all the puzzles, and worrying. All she wanted to do was do the decon and snuggle up in John's arms. Looking at him, she took his hand and walked out of the temple with him.

Once they were at the jumper, Jennifer got into the copilot seat. "Glad to be going home," she told him before leaning back in her chair.

"You tricked me," their prisoner said to Patrick.

Patrick merely shrugged. "Oh, well," he said.

Soon they were back in the city, and once the jumper was parked all of them got out. They were greeted by a medical team in hazmat suits and escorted to medical. Since there wasn't enough stalls for all of them to shower, Fred and Carson hung back, chosing to go last.

Jennifer walked into the shower area and started to strip off her clothes after one of the doctors took some blood. She hopped into one of the showers and started to scrub herself down with the provided soap. "So I was thinking after we're finished here and you're finished with Gibbs, we can get something to eat and snuggle for the rest of the day," she said, thinking John was in the next stall.

"Um...I don't think John would like that much, Jennifer," came Tim's voice as he started to laugh.

"Shut up, McGee," Jennifer said with a bright blush.

Once she was finished, Jennifer got out and dried off before putting on the scrubs the doctors had provided. She padded to the exam room and sat next to John. "I just completely embarrassed myself in front of Tim," she said before laying her head on his shoulder.

"You and me both, hon," John told Jennifer as he flew the jumper back to the Gate. After dialing, he called through and informed Landry and Gibbs what they had found, requesting the security personnel. He then told Carson that he could call through to Doctor Kovac as he brought the jumper back around to thread the needle.

After they were bundled off to the hospital once they landed, John hoped that this would be over quickly. There was nothing he hated more than going through decon protocol. The soap stung, and the doctors poked and prodded. He stripped off his clothes once he'd had his blood drawn and took his shower.

Heading into the exam room, he sat down and leaned back, knowing that they had to wait now. At least, though, he'd get to wait with Jen, he thought when she walked in and came over to sit beside him. Slipping his arm around her, he raised his eyebrows at her comment.

"Embarrassed yourself?" he asked.

"She thought I was you," Tim said when he came in, followed by Allie. "Don't worry. Nothing happened. In her defense, she couldn't see me in the other stall."

"Good." John rubbed his hand up and down Jen's arm a few times.

After a few minutes, they were called back for examinations. Finally, they were all cleared of any possible contagions and told they could leave. When they walked out, Gibbs was there to meet them.

"Briefing tomorrow morning. You can file your reports then. Get some rest," he told them. "Good job, guys."

Jennifer was glad the exams didn't take too long. All she wanted was to spend some alone time with John and to get something to eat. She only had enough time to eat some fruit for lunch since they needed to leave. When the doctors cleared all of them, she grinned and stood from her chair. Taking John's hand, she walked out and nodded at Gibbs before telling all of them goodnight.

"I'm hungry and in need of lots of alone John-time," she said as they started to walk through the city. "How about I go back to my quarters and grab some clothes for tomorrow, and come hang out with you. We can get something from one of the delivery stores."

Jennifer leaned up and softly kissed his lips. "Just give me enough time to take a quick shower and change," she said before giving him a smile.

After kissing him again, Jennifer went toward her quarters. Once there, she took a quick shower and put on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. She then grabbed a few of her things and threw them in a bag before packing her uniform for tomorrow. After her bag was packed, she slipped on a pair of shoes and headed out to John's quarters. When she arrived at his door, she reached over and pressed the chime.

John time? That can definitely be arranged," John said with a laugh as he squeezed Jen's hand. He liked the idea of spending the rest of the evening with her. "I think staying in at my quarters sounds great."

After kissing her goodbye, he watched her head down the hallway before grinning to himself and turning to job to the nearest transporter. When he reached his quarters, he did a quick clean-up of the whole place before taking a quick shower and changing into off-duty clothes. He had just pulled out the menus for the delivery places in the city when Jen rang the doorchime, so he put them down and went over to answer.

"Hey, you," he said, letting her in. Once the door slide shut, he took her hand and pulled her close to give her a kiss, his hand trailing up to tangle in her hair. "Today was one hell of a day. I'm glad you were there with us, though."

Stepping back, he looked down at her bag. "You can put that in the bedroom," he told her. "And then we can look through the menus and decide what to order. I know you said you're hungry, and so am I."

Jennifer grinned when John answered the door. "Hey, yourself," she said as he tugged her into his quarters. Leaning up, she returned his kiss and softly groaned as his fingers tangled in her hair. "Mmm, I'm glad I was there, too. Someone has to keep you in line."

Softly laughing, Jennifer gave him another quick kiss before she walked down the hallway to his bedroom. As she sat the bag on the foot of his bed, she looked around and smiled. Jennifer liked the fact she was going to wake up in his arms the next morning. She just wished it was a more permanent arrangement, but figured their relationship was too new to be making such plans.

"Okay, lets see what we got here," Jennifer said as she sat down next to John on the couch. She draped one of her legs over his and snuggled close. "Hmm, I haven't had Chinese for a while but tacos sound good, too. I'm fine with either one, really."

Shifting a little, she looked up at him. "I just want you to know I'm not a sex fiend," Jennifer said. "I know there's some things about the Naguals you don't know about because we don't like to tell all our secrets. Yes, we like sex but I'm not going to lure you away or pull you into dark corners so I can molest you all the time. We just like sex and...like to explore things when it comes to it." She blushed a little and sighed. "I've never had to explain this to anyone since I've only dated Nagual men. But I wanted you to know I'm not some nympho."
