Who: Adam & Kol
Where: The Grotto
When: Tonight
What: Witch Vs Original Vampire
Status: Ongoing
Warnings: Violence and lots of it
What he was doing was suicide. He knew that. His friends knew that. He did this without properly notifying them. They knew that was going to inevitably happen but he didn’t tell them when or how or give them a heads up to distract Diana like they were supposed to. Adam changed the plan differently and decided that as long as he could get Kol to meet him somewhere then nobody else needed to know. He would meet Kol and then he would leave once Kol was dealt with. He knew that Diana would never forgive him but none of that mattered anymore. If she was safe and alive and not seen as some dangerous threat then Adam could live on with whatever hatred she would harbor for doing this without her consent.
The ride to the Grotto felt longer than usual but once he arrived he parked near the entrance. He sat in his jeep for a few minutes, his eyes falling to the seat that had his weapon, the thing that would turn the tables against Kol the moment he channeled its power. The crystal skull was a powerful weapon in the hands of witches. He would obtain a greater source of power, maybe enough to kill something like Kol who was immortal and unstoppable to a degree. The shiny crystal was wrapped in a cloth and Adam kept it concealed as he took hold of it, shoving it under his arm as he got out, looking around for any sights of Kol but found him nowhere to be found yet.
The power from the crystal skull was so great that even though it was tightly wrapped in cloth he could still feel the vibrations of its power. It wanted to be used and focused on something because that’s how the crystal worked. Its magic was processed and accessible through touch and that feeling was supposed to be on the level of ecstasy. It was not only a powerful object but one that caused addiction. Melissa was right about its dark nature but Adam knew that he could handle it. If anyone could stand up against something as powerful as the crystal skull then it was him. It had to be him.
When thirty minutes passed by it was almost as if Kol had kept himself on a timer because he arrived almost out of nowhere. Adam looked at him as he approached, not showing fear or hatred or any other emotion because he didn’t want to give away what his intentions were by meeting him somewhere currently desolate and quiet He wanted to attack Kol with his guard down and that could only happen by reeling the vampire in further and then lashing out when the moment was right. He had to play a part. He had to pretend that he was here to help when in reality he was only here to bury Kol.
“Right on time,” Adam said, offering Kol a smile that he made genuine because Adam could be kind to anyone even if it was faked. Kol couldn’t tell the difference because they didn’t know each other that well yet. It was the first step to throwing him off balance.
