Other than hanging out with Stefan and her girls, Robin had been working pretty much nonstop on plans and projects for their modeling agency. Elite Photogenics Agency was coming together pretty well, and they even had some models already to start with. Their offices had been set up, and Robin was more than thrilled about the whole thing. Her birthday, even the sense of homesickness that she had been drowning in not too long ago were completely forgotten, and instead it was replaced with spreadsheets and documents that she was working on putting together. This was the first time that she had ever done something like this, actually go for a business venture that didn't have anything relating to her old job, but it wasn't the first time she had looked into it. Even back home she had always wanted to one day open up her own business and discover how much of an entrepreneur she could really be, but hadn't gotten the chance to do it. Now, now she could and she was putting all those skills and preparation to the test. Because Robin could hustle with the best of them when she set her mind to it, and it was safe to say that her mind was definitely on this project. She even had a cigar waiting and ready to go for when things were finally up and running completely.
Right now, though, she was settling for cigarettes and coffee out in the yard. The weather was comfortable enough to be working out in their backyard, and she didn't want to smoke inside the house, so she had settled herself with her laptop outside. Which was fine by her, really, and yeah smoking was a bad habit, but whatever. She didn't care. She was on a roll, and she probably looked more like a bookie right now than a business owner, but that would come later. Besides, being a bookie wasn't all that bad, either. Hell, she'd be using up some skills from her bookie days as well on this, and the thought made her smirk as she typed away and outlined contracts that they'd be using at the agency.
She was so distracted that she didn't notice when something dropped into her coffee just as she was about to take a swig of it. As she swallowed down the liquid she cleared her throat when she felt something tickling at the back of her throat, but other than that she didn't think much of it. She barely even noticed when her fingers stilled over the keyboard, and her thoughts went blank before she felt something cold take over. By then, though, Robin was no longer in control. It was as if something was flipping on and off inside of her, until it finally settled on a setting she didn't recognize, but she couldn't control it. Robin Scherbatsky wasn't really in control, after all, something else was taking over, and she reached for her cigarette to take a long enough drag to fill her lungs with smoke.
Letting the cigarette butt drop down to makeshift ashtray she had next to her, she stood and slowly exhaled as she walked back towards the house. No one was in the kitchen, but it didn't stop her from rolling her eyes at the mess of fashion magazines on the counter that they had managed to pick up during the past few days in preparation for the agency. Right, the agency. Robin, the real Robin, would probably take those magazines and take them back to the spot in the backyard she was using as her workstation, but right now? Right now she took a stack of the magazines and took them to the living room where she could hear the television on.
"So, do I have to clean up everyone's mess on top of everything else, too?" Normally she wouldn't say anything even close to that at all. Hell, Robin was not the neat type at all and, if anything, usually she was the one contributing to the mess. But right now, she didn't care that she was interrupting whatever they were watching or doing, she looked annoyed enough as she stood in front of the television to block them from it as she dumped the magazines on the coffee table. "What the hell are these doing all over the kitchen?"
