You'll notice that the Western Media prompts have been handled a little differently; we're experimenting still. Also, please excuse any mistakes; all told we had over 2600 prompts and even split up as they were, things will slip past us.

So, you have a week; at some point in the evening on Thursday the 25th, I'll close the battle. Until then?

Final Fantasy XII, Basch/Gabranth, voyeurism

The sound of muffled grunts emanating from the cage let Gabranth know without seeing what Basch was doing. Rarely did he do much of anything, nor was he able to, chained and caged. But the chains were released every so often; authorities said he should be able to move a bit, for his health. It often seemed odd to Gabranth that they continued to worry about the health of his brother--no, a traitor and a criminal--when they never planned to release him. For interrogation, maybe. That was probably it.

It was Gabranth's duty now to put the chains back in place, and so he would, though the scene gave him pause. Basch slumped against the bars of the cage, his hand finding occupation inside his ragged pants, his face--Gabranth's face--scarred, unshaven, and withered with despair yet contorted with momentary pleasure. For a moment Gabranth paused in confusion at the situation--the man in the cage hadn't noticed his presence. His steps had been quiet, or Basch was too involved to notice the clanks of metal on stone. Gabranth stepped behind a corner and out of sight.

He should interrupt, he knew. A criminal deserved no such courtesy, and his duty was not to wait. But it was not simple courtesy that led Gabranth to peer silently around the corner while Basch continued. It was fascination. Would not anyone be intrigued by the sight of oneself -- not exactly the same, of course, but enough the same -- engaged in such activities? And so he stood and observed the motion of Basch's hand, the quiet grunts and gasps, the expressions on Basch's face, the ripples of Basch's muscles, the way that Basch relaxed as he finished...

From his secret hiding place, Gabranth silently cursed his many layers of armor, and was unusually aware of how the clank of his footsteps echoed as he returned to the duty he came here for.
