(This ended up being less porn and more US :-/)

Evan refuses to be impressed. It's bordering on obscene, how ripped the man is - and oh my god, Evan can't believe he's using those words to describe an linguist of all things - and if the rumors are true, once upon a time the man was as big of a dweeb as they come. Maybe he's still an esoteric dweeb, but now people know to step out of his way when the man walks down the hallway with his nose a book.

Evan brings Parrish here now because it's usually empty and he can get Parrish to do more than he would with the rest of the base present, but Jackson doesn't seem to be leaving. Evan huffs as Parrish rambles, oblivious, and lies down on the bench, stopping Parrish in mid stream to remind him to place his hands at ready in case Evan drops the bar due to unexpected distractions. "Are you paying attention?" Parrish asks him, his upside-down face hovering like an annoyed bird.

"Are you?" Evan asks him through a groan, midway through his last repetition. Parrish's fingers help direct the bar in place. "Your turn," he says and smiles only a little maliciously.

Parrish sighs, but begins pulling the outermost barbells off. It's strangely quiet while Parrish is on the bench press, mostly because he's too busy breathing to chatter. Jackson's small noises carry across the gym over Parrish's breathing and when Evan's eyes begin to wander after a few long presses it's only because the archaeologist is literally doing squats ten feet in front of him. In shorts.

"Evan!" Parrish gasps, breaking his vacant stare. Evan starts and lunges to grab the bar that's slowly drooping toward Parrish's chest. Luckily Jackson's still staring straight ahead.

"Worst spotter ever," Parrish says and Evan smacks his shoulder and makes up an excuse to move to the opposite facing bench for the last bar exercise.

"Quiet day, huh?" Jackson says without turning around as they're preparing to leave and Evan looks up in confusion. The doctor is standing with his back to them, polishing his glasses on a rag. Evan is looking around for someone Jackson actually speaks to when Jackson looks up and smiles. Right into the mirrored wall that reflects the whole of the gym.

After a long moment Evan forces himself to answer, at a loss to find himself the object of the doctor's notoriously fickle attention. "Yeah," he says. "Real quiet." There's a small smile floating around Jackson's eyes when he looks away again and if Evan cheeks are blushing it's only because of the work-out.

	OMG! I can't believe mine was the first responded to. You are amazing! Loved this. Lorne's observations were humorous, insightful, and spot on. Especially loved the ending portion with Lorne being surprised at catching Daniel's notoriously fickle attention. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Although, yes.
