Title: Symbol of Freedom
Author: Apythia
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG
Pairing: Gen. Sirius
Prompt: Castle
Warnings: none
Disclaimer: I am not JKR, nor do I make any money from this.

Sirius looked out through the forest to the brilliantly illuminated, majestic castle. It was a place where he had known happiness, where he had found friends who accepted him as himself and had no expectations based on his family or their status.

After twelve long years in Azkaban, he was almost free. All he had to do was bring Pettigrew to the authorities, and then he could once again enter the castle, his home, a free man.

Harry’s yell and an all-too-familiar growl demanded his attention. With one last longing look at the castle, he turned as the drama unfolded.
