Title: The Messenger
Author: [info]miramiraficfic
Word Count: 100
Rating: G
Pairing: implied Ron/Lavender, R/Hr
Prompt: Divination
Warnings: None

“I still don’t think it’s a good idea,” Parvati insisted. “Remember what Professor Trelawney said…”

Lavender stopped applying her lipstick long enough to give a tiny snort. “She warned you to beware a red haired man, ‘Vati. Not me.”

Parvati thought back over a thousand arguments and slammed doors and glances and silences. Suddenly, they gave way to a vision stronger than any she’d ever experienced in the North Tower: her best friend, clutching her pillow and sobbing what was left of her heart out as Parvati tried in vain to console her. “Maybe that’s because she knew I’d listen.”
