(Did you miss something? Day One Day Two Day Three)
In the morning, Remus and Percy lingered over breakfast, sharing the Prophet and reading bits of it aloud to each other. They had both slept late and awoke tangled in an embrace, Percy's head resting against Remus's chest, his shirt still rucked up, his pyjama bottoms still on the floor beside the bed where Remus had dropped them.
They took their time showering together, washing the dried come off Percy's belly and Remus's hand, sliding their hands all over each other's skin there under the spray. Remus lingered in the shower, and when he got out, Percy had already started breakfast.
It was nothing fancy—just eggs and sausages and toast and tea—but then, it never was at the little flat they shared in Wizarding London. Both men had learned to live on what they could provide themselves, and both abhorred depending on others for their sustenance. So it had taken some time for them to learn to depend on each other, but now, Remus thought, lowering the paper and glancing over the table at Percy, he loved having someone to depend on again.
It had been a long time.
They finished the paper and cleared up the breakfast things together, then stretched out on the sofa to read the Muggle newspaper together, a favourite weekend activity. Neither of them ventured out into Muggle culture much, so reading their paper was like looking into another universe sometimes.
When Remus was halfway through the Sport section (really, rugby was weird), Percy put down his own section and huffed out a breath.
"We do an awful lot of reading," he said, folding the paper and setting it on the coffee table. He stretched out and poked Remus's thigh with his bare toes.
Remus put down his own section—he thought he might chance a headache if he tried any harder to understand it.
"Yes, I suppose we do," he replied, "But we always have."
Percy moved closer to Remus on the sofa. "So let's talk instead. Let's put the paper away."
"Okay." Remus was game. He folded the Sport section and tossed it onto the coffee table, putting his arm around Percy. "What shall we talk about?"
"Tell me more about you and Sirius," Percy said, settling in. "I want to know the rest of your story."
Remus smiled. "Are you comfortable?"
"Quite."
"All right, then. Where was I?"
