Summary: Thinking on it a bit, Remus realizes they have one other thing to discuss.
“We should talk,” Remus told Severus as they stood at the Faculty Table in the Great Hall.
“Yes? And what are we doing now?” Severus replied.
They were standing there while Dumbledore gave a speech about how the dementors were all sent away and how everyone had to remain vigilant and must not panic if they happened to see anything suspicious.
“What do you wish to speak with me about? Is it something that can wait until we are down in my chambers tonight after dinner?” Severus smirked.
“It’s important, Severus.”
They all sat when the food was brought to the tables, and for a few minutes the conversation was dropped as they ate. Severus watched Harry as he tucked into his food and talked with his friends. Remus carried on a lively conversation with Professor McGonagall about the upcoming Quidditch game.
After several minutes, Severus turned to Remus. “So, what was it you’d like to discuss with me, Professor Lupin?”
“I was just thinking about that revelation we had last night. And I thought that if he was alive, then he--” Remus was interrupted by Filch walking by, arriving late to dinner as usual.
“What about him?” Severus’s tone turned sour.
“You’re right. We should talk later. Meet me in the Defense Against Dark Arts classroom after dinner?”

By the time Severus arrived at the classroom, he was fuming. “What? What is it you want to tell me about... him?” He demanded. Severus flicked his wand to slam and lock the door.
“What if he’s innocent?” Remus asked, leaning back against the desk. He crossed his arms. “What if we were wrong about him all this time?”
Severus snarled and looked away. “Then I suppose you will want to return to him, and all of those things you said to me were meaningless.”
Remus smiled, then chuckled, and then laughed. “Oh, you’ve got it all wrong. Please, don’t think for a second that I would throw you over for him.” He pushed himself off of the desk and walked up to Severus.
“What do you mean, then, bringing it up?” Severus crossed his arms, pulling his robes tighter around his chest.
“I was just thinking that he will need help.”
“He’s Sirius Black, what kind of help will he need from you?” Severus snarled.
Remus rolled his eyes. “Like you said, he’s Sirius Black. He’s going to need all the help he can get. If he’s anything like he was before he was... sent away, he’s the personification of trouble.”
“And what about me?”
Remus went up to Severus and draped his arms over the man’s shoulders. He leaned in and pressed a tender kiss to his lips - a kiss that was enthusiastically returned. When they broke away, he smiled. “I expect you to behave, and to remember that even though I loved him - maybe I still do - I amd in love with you.”
“That... is not very reassuring,” Severus told him.
“Fine. Would it reassure you if we went back to your rooms and you put your cock in my ass again?”
Severus paused for a moment and then the corner of his mouth quirked up. “Perhaps.”
