The figure monitored the building from the rooftops, watching for the target he was hunting to emerge, cloaked in the shadows. He knew this was where the vampire worked, and where he had built his minor fame as a celebrity in this city. It was a fitting place to ambush him. Unbeknownst to anyone, their argument had continued far beyond the message board. He had called into LaCroix's radio show, and the two had continued their battle of wits over the air. Unfortunately, because of wanting to save face, the vampire couldn't simply disconnect him. Needless to say, it was probably one of the worst sessions in the vampire's career.
And in the end, it had made the figure realize certain things about the man called Lucien LaCroix. Now it was time to get revenge for the comments that he had received, and clear out a problem for the city while he was at it. Solidus didn't care if he was 9,000 years old or a million. He had seen what LaCroix did in this city, and the fact remained he was useless. This city didn't need useless people. He was a liability to the group that fought against the tyrannical things in this city, and the sooner someone eliminated him, the better. Solidus didn't mess around. He was going to kill this man. As he had told LaCroix, he had raised children into ultimate killing machines and fought in battles he couldn't begin to imagine. He could take down a man who could repair himself from any injury, and would have had to if Vamp had taken control of Arsenal Gear as planned. A simply vampire didn't scare him.
He waited until the man emerged from the building shortly after 1:00. The vampire looked smug as usual; he didn't suspect anyone was going to attack him. He would know differently soon.
The figure stood up to his full height. It was time to get this show on the road. He wanted this to be done quickly and he didn't want to interfere with the event. Not that anyone would support LaCroix, in all likelihood, but he couldn't take the chance.
He waited until he had a clear view of the target. And then he fired a missile at the pale vampire.
