Solidus watched as LaCroix dodged the missile with quick reflexes. He wasn't surprised, though he was impressed. Very few people had dodged the missiles from his snake arms. Only Raiden could do it, and that was with the use of an enhanced combat suit.
With a grim smirk, Solidus jumped down from the building, landing firmly on his feet. "Ah...Lucien LaCroix. The Nightcrawler..." Solidus spread his arms, smiling savagely in amusement. "The most useless vampire in this city," he taunted the pale vampire.
"What was it that you said to me?" Solidus paused for dramatic effect. "Ah yes. That I had no idea of the things you'd seen, or what you were once capable of." Solidus wasn't impressed by that at all, when he heard those many nights ago.
It didn't matter whether LaCroix had been a warrior once, or a general, or some other kind of fighter. Skills like that had to be practiced, or else they were lost. Experience didn't mean anything if you didn't have the skills to back it up. And it was obvious LaCroix had lost whatever edge he had long ago.
"Well, let's see what you can do to prove the point," he stated. He paused, wondering if the man had anything interesting to say. If LaCroix wanted to state his piece, he had better do it now, because he wasn't going to be in one piece for long.
