...Why'd he even have to open his big mouth? He never should have said anything. Ever since Static got there he felt less important, less needed. With all the other kids around who needed the fake batman? He was still trying to figure out how to get along with Cassandra, and now Virgil was thrown in the mix. Virgil was opposite of him in every way. Or maybe not, and that was the problem. They were too alike. The worse part about all this was, Bruce was right. He'd put Static on a pedestal and expected so much more than a kid who nearly erased himself and it was disappointing. He didn't know how to get past it, but kicking some bad guy ass would defiantly help.
Being seventeen sucked. It was a constant roller coaster and he wanted off. Unfortunately for him it didn't look like that was an option any time soon. He'd be forced to learn to roll with it or get dragged along for a bumpy ride. Right now it was the latter. He'd been in the cave since he blew up at Bruce, not really wanting to show his face any time soon he wished time would stop, or at least go backwards so he could stop himself from ever saying anything at all. Unfortunately the more he avoided it the faster nightfall came. He was sitting in Bruce's chair infront of the large super computer, staring at a screen with scattered information about Static and Virgil Hawkins. But not really seeing it.
