Something odd was happening. Odder than being stuck in LA which really didn't make Jo a happy girl. She had practically told Sam off via the message boards which, while if felt kind of good, was not her plan for the day. She just sort of let the words slip. An unedited truth. A complete truth. And it wasn't just her. It seemed everyone who had come into her work today had been a little loose lipped so to say. Creepy old men who usually just looked at her ass were now speaking what they'd like to do to said ass. Jo had almost been fired six times in the first three hours of her shift for telling them where they could shove their ideas.
So she had decided to speak as little as possible. Just bring the people their drinks and let whatever happen, happen. She couldn't really afford to get fired, LA was expensive and she was broke. As a lull came in the customers Jo poured herself a coke, hoping the caffeine would give her a boost of energy. She tried once more to phone her mom and made a face as it once again failed to connect. Jo slipped her phone into her back pocket and went to check on her tables.
