WHO: Padmé Amidala and Obi-Wan Kenobi
WHAT: A reunion between old friends.
WHEN: Afternoon
WHERE: Manhattan Beach
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress
Although Padmé knew that there may never come a time when Obi-Wan and Anakin would be close again, that didn't stop her from agreeing to meet with her dear friend. Yes, her husband might not be thrilled at the idea, but as far as she was concerned she was perfectly capable of being in love with Anakin and friends with his former Master. So she made her way to the agreed upon spot with the intention of enjoying this reunion as much as was possible, as well as making certain Obi-Wan was aware that she would not choose sides in this issue between the two Jedi. Not that she expected him to ask that of her, but she thought it would be best to be clear. He was her friend, and that wasn't going to change, but Anakin was her husband and that, too, would stay the same.
She was blending in a bit, for once. Her attire was casual and fit in with the style worn by women in Los Angeles. Her hair was pulled back in a loose ponytail, quite a common design yet one that seemed to work well. People recognized her easily, courtesy of the holos, but they recognized her doubly so whenever she wore one of her more elaborate hair designs. Here, her attire was far more popular than her work.
Padmé wasn't certain if she was insulted or flattered.
For now, though, she was simply waiting for Obi-Wan's arrival. Standing on the steps leading down to the beach, her arms rested lightly on the railing and a smile crossed her face as the wind blew through her hair. It was peaceful, here. Serene. She could almost become accustomed to it and thought she was fortunate, yet again, to have found a second chance in a place that at the very least did offer some aesthetically pleasing sights.
