Her heart ached to know that Obi-Wan clearly came from a point in time after he'd suffered such significant loss. She watched him with the pebble, finally speaking after he'd mentioned her son.
"I know what I've been told, both by the adult version of Luke who was here before his younger self, as well as by others... Anakin included," she stated slowly. Her gaze flickered to the ocean for a moment and she watched as the waves crashed against the shore.
Her attention went back to him, her smile still present but saddened. "I'm so very sorry for all you've suffered through," she murmured. "For all everyone has suffered through. I can't help but think if I had seen the signs, if I have simply been stronger..." She trailed off, voice catching her throat and she glanced toward the sand they were treading upon.
