WHO: Ginny Weasley & OPEN
WHAT: A trip outside, even though she's been telling everyone to stay inside
WHERE: City street
WHEN: April 13th, close to noon
RATING: PG
Despite telling everyone to stay inside, Ginny never was good at doing the smart thing. What was outside was starting to annoy her. She wanted, and needed to know what it was like out there. She had left the hotel before, she had always apparated. If her mother was here, she would yell at her. But Ginny was getting cabin fever, she needed to go outside. And most of all, she needed to go out and get some food before her stomach ate her from the inside out. It was hard enough keeping this room without causing suspicion, but she didn't have enough muggle money to order room service, she needed something cheaper. Grabbing her charmed purse, capable of holding an endless amount of things, she glanced around her room, and then apparated down into the ally behind the hotel she had checked out earlier.
Drawing her hood up from her sweater, in an attempt to beat off the rain, she gripped her wand in her sweater pocket and then took off at a quick walk back out onto the main street. These past few days had been more insane than when Voldemort had taken over Hogwarts. She hadn't met any of her kids, or her siblings kids, and she had no idea what she was going to say to any of them face to face. You'd thin the first thing she would do was go and find one of them, or Ron. She had planned to, but then she just didn't.
Despite the fact that it was raining, and dark, the cool air was nice. It wouldn't be long until she was soaked through, and the puddles were large, but that could be easily taken care of with a spell once she was back in her room. Hurrying along the streets, she let her eyes search the buildings for some place good to get food. It became more and more apparent to her that she should have taken muggle studies at Hogwarts, there were way to many things that Ginny just found completely foreign to her, and so she avoided them, so as not to make a food of her herself, or break anything. "What I wouldn't give to have my broom right now..." she muttered, looking around at all the cars that drove by. The perks of being outside, but not having to be on the ground with the things lurking everywhere. Like the little portable metal telephone things the muggles had. Her Dad would love to get his hands on one of those, she was sure.
Walking to the crosswalk, she was about to take a step out onto the street when she heard a car horn screaming at her. Stepping back just as a car flew by, she cursed, looking back and forth as car's just kept passing her, over and over again. "Oh for the love of-" she said to herself. "Bloody muggles, how the hell do they get anywhere?" she said out loud, not really caring if anyone heard her. She was half tempted to hex the next car that drove by, but instead, she just changed her direction and continued down the street she was on.
