Chase grinned. No killing? They'd see about that. And while Chase did have a few questions, the brunt of the ones he'd had had been fairly well answered by the man at the door. They were here, and there was no way out.
That was enough for him; maybe Caleb hadn't had anything to do with this after all. Sure, Caleb had some power, but enough to confine a bunch of strangers somewhere? Unlikely. Even Chase didn't have that power.
Or did he? The witch mused about that for a moment before dismissing it as unimportant in the current situation. "I think you covered all the bases," he said to the man in the door as he studied him openly and curiously.
