Then more evidence began to surface on social media. A blurry video from the Northwoods of Wisconsin showed a group of men and women turning into wolves, another of a teenage boy turning into a coyote in New Mexico. A floodgate opened, people began taking the footage seriously, and the Were community was left with a choice. A month after the Discovery footage was released, CNN announced an exclusive live interview with a Were. Millions tuned in to watch the interview with a real live wolf-man. During the interview, not only did the man shed some light on Weres, but he revealed the existence of vampires. If they were going to be outed, vampires were going to be dragged out too. The rest of the interview was cut short, but the truth was officially out there. Portland’s status as home to the supernatural and beginning of the mess only took a turn for the weirder as time went on. Sometime during 2015 small pockets of phenomena began cropping up in and around the city. A one block snowstorm in July, a park with 4 foot tall flowers, and one memorable afternoon where the glass melted off a downtown office building. Many of the events were relatively benign, yet none of them had an explanation; even the supernatural community was left with little to go on. Something was happening, but no one knew what. | |
