[⚜] ARRIVAL People arrive through the grotto of the Temple of Coventina, a small pool withholding mysterious properties. Every once and a while, a newcomer will simply materialize under the water and float to the surface to awaken. A lamp lit path will lead them out of the temple and into Nym. Any personal items such as weapons or pocket items will be with them upon arrival. Small animals also may arrive shortly after. [⚜] INJURY & DEATH Injury in Nym has a normal healing rate, there are herbs to help injuries heal better, but nothing too drastic. Anyone who passes through the arriving pool will do so with any severe injuries they may have obtained moments prior to arrival. When a person dies, they don't go to some special void, they're dead. Decay in Nym is rapid; meaning the flesh will literally melt all away in 48 hours minutes if action is not taken. Reviving the dead used to only require a trip to the Fountain of Larunda, but now various measures can be taken to revive someone. Many necromancer hoos live in the city of Nym and can revive a fallen friend - - for a price. Those revived from death will experience a 24 hour disorientation period. This period includes poor depth perception, dizziness, sensory overload, drowsiness, and nausea. [⚜] DISAPPEARANCES [⚜] CANON UPDATES Characters undergoing a canon update are given water from the Fountain of Moneta. Water from the Fountain of Moneta will cause the drinker to spontaneously undergo physical changes and gain memories as if they left for a short period of time and returned. They will feel as if they had undergone a journey home and back, but anyone around them at the time would only watch them transform to their current state. Obtaining this water is hard and it is only delivered for unnamed occasions. If the person is particularly stubborn, it may be slipped into their food. Access to the fountain is forbidden and hidden from public knowledge. |
