HIGH HOPES High Hopes, NC is a slice of life game with elements of low fantasy. When we say low fantasy, it means we're allowing supernatural creatures but that isn't our main focus, at least not all the time. There will be events and side-wide plottage, but we will be considered player driven with a focus on character development, relationships and our own personal stories.

Our game city has a bit of everything from a production area called Little Hollywood to a beautiful beach, to mountains and a forest and even a Native American reservation about fifteen miles outside the city. We welcome people of all writing levels, as examples are waived forever and you can show your writing skills through your bio or blurb efforts. As for the supernatural creatures part, I'm welcoming people to do an interpretation and their own spin on supernatural creatures, entirely but I will only allow one type after a member has written up the details of a species.

While we are slice of life with low fantasy, we welcome strange and unusual stories as well. Such as you find a pair of undies or panties that glow blue when you find your soulmate. Silly things like that. Basically this game is a safe inclusive community, a safe place for everyone who doesn't get to do their strange ideas or develop things they want to usually. We look forward to having you!

Side Note:I'm not giving up on playing with others over here on insanejournal. I've been playing here for years upon years, and I would sorely miss it. I'm saying let the past live in the past and just give me a chance. I'm one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. One of the kindest too. I'd explain more but there's no need. No one believes me most of the time anyway. Not that I can blame them. However, I am here to mod a game, and don't want to talk about my personal life anymore. I promise, I'm about giving my players a good time and allowing them to have free reign of how their characters develop as well. No, I am not a homophobe or a bigot for that matter. Some people forget that personal opinions have nothing to do with how you should treat and view others as human beings. (I'm talking about myself and how I treat/view others despite the difference in lifestyle change from my own) This is what I've been trying to say but no one listens. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read this last tid bit and if you could, don't jump on this post and start yelling convictions and assumpations. Just don't.

The news reported last night, March 14th, that a meteor had a 80% chance of hitting in the next fourteen months and it would not be pretty. It would end some continents and countries to the point of destruction. Canada, North America and South America were all in trouble, effects would be felt for thousands of miles. People scoffed, yeah, right, not happening and now it's all they discuss with skeptism. Others, the doomsday sayers are positive it's coming. Some people are scared and hoping it doesn't happen, living in denial.

We take ourselves to Heart's Grove, Colorado, with Love Grows Apartments. The residents there all have varying views, and it's close enough as an apartment unit that they're more or less running into each other to discuss things in their lives and the world politely or with easy friendship. The questions they're all asking themselves are "Should we move to different countries? Is there any way to stop this? Are we going to live past 2020?" It seems likely not.

Love Grows is a GPSL with an allowance up to ten players, with unlimited allowance on characters. Love Grows aims to have plot, with plenty of downtime and free form roleplay for the writers. We are a real life game, using dangerous elements that happen real life as a means to give a sense of danger, instead of the usual slice of life. Love Grows aims to be different, hopefully challenging and allow writers to write the nitty gritty of their characters lives.

Welcome to Prague, the City of a Hundred Spires, the Pearl of Cities, a Symphony of Stone. The capital city of the Czech Republic, Prague has a long and rich history even among its European brethren. Once the capital of Bohemia, the city has been a political, cultural, and economic centre of Europe for centuries. It has been home to Holy Roman Emperors, a host of European royalty, and innumerable artists, musicians, performers, scholars, and merchants. Prague is beautiful, humming with life and culture, and considered by many to be one of the most fascinating cities in the world.

There's another Prague, though, one that emerges when the sun sets, a Prague that few humans ever catch a glimpse of. When darkness falls in the city, the true movers and shakers come out to play. Nights in Prague are ruled by creatures of darkness – courtly vampires playing games of intrigue, savage therianthropes fighting to break the chains of their undead masters, beautiful and cruel fae consolidating power of their own, and humans with fantastic gifts seeking a solid foothold in the complex social order of the city.

The city is in a period of upheaval, with loyalties and alliances shifting seemingly with the wind. Be wary, taking one's first steps into this world of darkness can be fraught with danger – but the rewards can be beyond all imagination. Do you hear it, friends? The night calls. Maybe it's calling for you.
