I know all too well that if something doesn't work, fix it. And if it still fails, then it's time to let it go. Unfortunately, it's time to let Change Channels go.

From the beginning I knew I never wanted a huge game, but it grew, then... it didn't. I tried advertising. Some of you tried advertising. But the game quickly dwindled and the spark is gone. I feel terrible for closing the game but I see no other choice given the interest isn't there anymore.

I know most of you have different games to go to and if you'd like to promote something to another player, feel free to use the OOC comm or the discord chat to do that. I'm not closing either comms or the chat down, so if you feel the desire to continue... do it. I just won't be around to moderate or play anymore.

Personally, I'm going to quit RPing all together. This is a really tough personal decision I've made but I don't feel I have ever truly found a game that fits in the last 12 months. And when you don't even fit in your own sandpit, it's probably time to realise that maybe the RP world just isn't for you.

However, just because I will no longer be RPing doesn't mean you have to be a stranger. You all have my contact details, email me, hit me up on discord, send me a pigeon... whatever. I'm not dead. I'll reply. I'll be happy to hear from you about anything and everything.

I'm really sorry it had to end this way and have enjoyed playing with each and every one of you. Thank you for giving my game a chance. Best of luck in all your future adventures.

Hey everyone! The World Kindness Day plot is about to start.

13th - 19th 👍 WORLD KINDNESS DAY - The offical holiday is on the 13th, but why should kindness be limited to one day, right? All Characters in the city are generally quite nice to one another but over the course of the next week characters will be extra nice. Super nice. So nice that it's almost creepy.

So I'm back, I finally have internet and am getting over the various illness and almost fully moved in and all that other stuff preventing me from playing. Looking forward to getting some more done. If anyone would like Rose please hit me up! I'd love to get some plot.

Hey all. Jess here with a new character (the first of a few I'm thinking of bringing in). Meet Wally West from the DC Comics AU - the same AU the Bat Clan are from. Wally's history is a mash-up of the various versions of Wally (comics & animated series) plus a few all new components that make him completely AU from all other versions. You can read his novel of an app here to get the full run down.

Wally is a friendly guy, who is missing everything that happened between 2007 and 2012 - so have fun making references he just doesn't get. He'll talk to anyone. He'll raid your fridge. If you need someone to run to the shops for something - he's your guy.

His arrival in game is going to be a little different to others because at the point he is from he had actually died from a heart attack. So sad. But hey, that's the magic of television... or rather, Gabriel. Gabe collected Wally, brought him back to life, and healed his heart completely. But that just means he'll start life in Paradise City in the hospital surrounded by all the sexy doctors.

For a character to pass they are required to do 3 types of activity a month. Whether that be a network post, a thread/narrative/log, telephone calls or text messages (that go for 10 or more comments), or comment wars that go for 10 or more comments (at least 5 from each character). 2 Social Media posts also count as one piece of activity.

To turn in your activity, comment below with the form or link me to one of those fancy activity trackers some people have on google docs. (Still don't have a blank one to share... I'll get onto it, promise).

Players that have been on hiatus for longer than a week and have contacted a mod before now will be exempt from Activity Check (I have been keeping a list of those that have contacted me) but I would like to know if you are still interested in playing.

If your character has not passed for activity, I will not ask you to drop but would like to know if you are still interested in playing. If you are struggling for activity, contact me, I am happy to work out plots, even pick up new characters (if I know the fandom). Also, I'm going to be doing another round of advertising in the coming week so if there is someone you are looking for to interact with your character, put them on the wanted page and let me know so the next ad will scream "We want [INSERT CHARACTERS HERE]".

I would like to apologise for not being around as much as I would like. We received the news a fortnight ago that my cousin died rather unexpectedly in a fatal accident, and things are a bit up and down at the moment with various things, so I haven't been very focused on anything other than family, trying to get uni done, and preparing to move into my own flat next week.

Apologies again and I hope to get Rose more active soon.

Under the circumstances of the hurricanes/floods/the world ending, players that contact me (via email or discord or some other method - just not AIM because it is evil to me) that were affected by this can have a pass and just turn in the activity they have managed to achieve. I also accept a pass for illness, family emergencies, etc but I need to know before the cut off date and have whatever activity you have achieved this month turned in. Characters that don't have any activity for this month and no contact with me has been made as to why will be asked to be dropped.

I don't normally give out free passes but hey, natural disaster and what not has made this last month just urgh.

Hey all! Sorry I've been a bit absent in the last week and a bit. Work has been killing me and I've been sort of comatose on the couch watching the TV or playing games that didn't require me to think when I haven't been working. Things have eased up a bit so me, Cullen, Hicks and Thorin are back around if anyone wants one of my kids. (I'll catch up on the tags I owe too!)

In past games I have been in some of my characters had a mock instagram account and would post pics every so often instead of network posts. It was good for those characters that had active social lives or ones that didn't want to "say" much but would rather "show" it.

I've found the old instagram codes we used to use and thought it could be a fun thing we could use in game. I know it's not for everyone (just like it isn't in the real world) so it's not compulsory.

As far as activity goes, instagram entries will count as half a piece of activity - so two instagram entries in a month will give you one piece of activity. Of course, we prefer a good mix of activity in a month so we will only accept two instagram posts a month to go towards your activity. Sorry, there will be no cheating by just posting six pictures in a month to try and pass.

Oh, and another quick rule. If your instagram post includes another player's character, please ask. It's only polite. Besides, the other player might be able to help you find some other pics to be used.

Yesterday marks the day that some of the shops in the shopping district will start selling Halloween items - for example Halloween candy in the grocery store, pumpkin spiced coffee at the coffee shop. Next to the basic clothing store, Label-less, a costume store has opened it's doors and will be around from now until Halloween. The costumes are pretty generic (so no, you won't find a random Batsuit there) and there is nothing shifty about them.

Today, characters may have noticed the appearance of a brochure and a weekly pass to go to the new city zoo opening on the 25th of September. There is a wide variety of animals, including some that aren't native to Earth. On the 27th a monkey escapes out of its zoo habitat and starts wandering around the zoo, letting other animals out to roam free. The zoo calls for volunteers (Any Character Willing to Help) to help round up the various animals. By the 30th all animals are back in their zoo habitats. Feel free to comment on this post to plot out this event.

Okay, just getting this in before I head off to work for the day. Hello all! Kat here with my newest kid, Thorin Oakenshield, son of Thráin, son of Thrór, King under the Mountain. :D

Thorin is from The Hobbit movies, obviously, and he's coming in from just at the end of An Unexpected Journey, basically after they've climbed down from the Carrock the eagles left them on. This way he is free from any and all influences of dragon sickness, which is a good thing. He gets a bit irrational when he has dragon sickness.

I'm going to throw a thread starter up for him at some point today if somebody wants to grab that since he has no idea what all this technology stuff is. I mean, the dwarves are pretty technologically advanced... for Middle Earth. But not so much for Earth Earth. He has no idea what a phone is, let alone a laptop or a TV.

The plot calendar for next month is now up: here!

I tried to not get too plot heavy because we still have people that are new, so there are a lot of introductions between characters going on. Also, I like to leave things a bit more open so you can get your own plot ideas out there.

Joining the plots on the calendar is not compulsory and we understand that some plots just don't appeal to certain characters. Alternatively, if a plot prompts more ideas, please share it with the group. We're happy to listen and bounce around ideas.

Finally, there will be no Activity Check for August.

Sam does have a little problem at the moment. That pesky soul? Not with him right now. So if he seems a little off for a while it's nothing personal.

Okay, so I have made a start on the jobs list and quickly realised this is going to be a monster. Not to mention it'll evolve as we go along in game and things change and new characters come.

It is not finished as I have only tackled some of the retail job but I thought I'd share and get some input. Names of some of the generic places are free to be changed - I tried, but if you have a more creative suggestion I am happy to hear it. The university courses are no where near complete but I thought we could add to that as we get more people wanting to learn stuff and teachers to teach said stuff.

Comment below if any of the jobs interest your characters. If there is no character in a job, feel free to assume it is an NPC native filling the position. There will be other jobs available soon, like service jobs (Police, Doctors, Fire Dept., etc) and I know there may be some characters in game that have mentioned they have found a job (eg: Dean who is a mechanic) so I need to add them in too.

Hey gang, this is Oz. He's a nineteen year old, laconic werewolf, though he has a handle on his transformations... unless he's angered or in pain. He's coming in from his last appearance in the series. So he's left Sunnydale for the second time. He's pretty chill for the most part and has a stupid amount of knowledge of both the supernatural and pop culture - up until early 2000 anyway.
