The show had been tremendous as per usual, but Tommy tended to think the best of everything Broadway, no matter how poor the performance might have been - or how prosaic or plebian or any number of p-words that indicated that something wasn't exactly high theatrical art. That wasn't to say that the boy didn't have standards because he certainly did have a whole long list of shows that he wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole, no matter how good the salary offer or co-stars were, but he always managed to find something good about even those pieces. A treatise on theatre, however, was not on his mind at the moment because Broadway on Broadway wasn't really about who was better than whom. It was a celebration of the great things that Broadway had to offer, and he was a firm supporter of Broadway theatre in all its forms.
Not currently appearing on Broadway himself, though, he wasn't involved in the actual performances on stage, but he'd played an equally important part that morning by playing in the band. He liked to help out in any way he could, and if he could have his moment on stage, he wanted to help other people bring their moments to life with the right music. Once the show was over, though, he slapped five with the other musicians, made sure to congratulate Liam Gregory on a job well done, and then packed up his bass guitar to head for home so that he could get ready for his 3:00 matinee.
Slinging the instrument over his shoulder like a backpack, he started to weave his way through the dispersing crowd, until he bumped into someone. Fumbling to make sure his guitar didn't fall off, he nearly tripped and fell. Once he'd straightened himself out, he turned to apologize to the person he'd nearly run down, until he realized that it just so happened to be a very good friend of his. "Well, since it's you, I'm not apologizing," he said to Sascha, smirking for a moment before letting out a playful laugh.
