"When you who ten hours a day you let me know how much you feel like cooking," he said, settling himself in on his couch. Maybe he'd even share with her. Maybe. "Maybe if I'd know you were coming I'd have bought things." Jace thought for a moment before adding, "Nah. Probably not." He was kidding more or less. He'd have probably just ordered her food or something.
"At least you've gotten better at it," he teased, pulling out one of the burgers that had been in the bag. He unwrapped it and took a bite of it. It took him a few minutes but finally he held one up, silently asking her if she wanted it. He supposed he could be nice and share with her.
"Wait. Got here yesterday?" he asked, giving her a look. "Maybe you don't deserve the burger."
